So I have lunch with aa friend ( a mom who works outside the home full time with two kids one in daycare and one in 1st grade) We haven't seen each other in a while. And she asked me what I did yesterday and I ran down my day in one of those quick readers digest condenced versions. She didn't belive me. She said that there was no way that I could be that busy. I wanted to beem her upside the head !!

So I told her that I was going to post here and she should read up on what we bon bon poppin couch potatoe channel soap surfin gals do all day.

( I also stuck her with the check and ate a desert just for all of you)

Up at 6 a.m. This is the best time to get a shower. Dressed and bed made. Cleaning the kitchen from all of the late night snacks And clean the bathroom. Toss the laundry down the shoot. Head to the basement to sort laundry and tidy up the kids play area.

Get kids up dressed fed and beds made. Laundry picked up and give their bathroom a clean sweep.

Ready for school, backpacks, lunches, homework, hat, gloves, coat, milk money, book money, Got everyting, Bus is here!

Played a game of candy land. Clipped coupons, went grocery shopping, post office to buy stamps, oil change in car. Take grandmom to Doctors,

Home in time to put stew on for dinner, dust and vaccumme today. Wash 4 loads of laundry help son with homework.

Catch up on e-mails. Return phone calls, and set up two appointmenst for two diffrent repiair men to come out.

Fed the family, cleaned up dinner, gave baths to kids, read a book to my youngest.

Put the kids in bed, had a converstaion with my dh and then fell into bed.

And this was a easy day! Not nearly as busy as usual!

lol!!!!

I only have 1 baby at this point in time, and my day isn't nearly as busy as yours, but I have had the same run ins with some of my friends. Some have kids, some don't. I don't have any sahm friends, and the ones who have kids in daycare while they work, they seem to forget what a "regualar day" consists of!!!

I get up early morning, change a diaper, feed, clean up, play, play play, put her down for a nap. While she is sleeping, prep dinner, clean kitchen, clean bathrooms, vaccumm, dust, feed dog, check laundry, pick up screaming baby who has just woken up. Change feed, play, play, play. Take tons of phone calls from telemarketers, go back to crying baby. Check on laundry, check on dinner, play play play. Look at the clock and realize that dh will be home soon, and for the third day in a row, I haven't showered. Curse and swear, put baby in playpen, have a quick shower. Check on dinner, almost burnt by now, haul laundry out of dryer, pull misc socks out of baby's mouth, dh comes home. Throw baby at him, and lock myself in bathroom for 10 minutes for me time. Come out feeling refreshed, have dinner, and finish up what I didn't do.

Call it a day. I thank god everyday I get to do it.

Lets see- the baby was up all night with strep throat and teething at the same time. We got to bed about 4:30 am. Got up with the older kids at 6:30. Threw in a load of laundry and made breakfast. Signed progress reports and checked homework. Baby got up. Paced the floor with baby trying to calm her down. Sent kids off to school. Threw in another load of laundry. My sister dropped of my two year old nephew for me to watch. Danced to a Wiggles video 3 times. Made lunch for newphew which he threw up, I checked his temp-101.3 My sister is a flight attendant and was in Portland by now. Her husband was in a meeting he can't get out of. No problem-I have pedialite, what's one more sick kid right? Cleaned up the mess and threw in another load of laundry. Got my nephew settled down watching a movie, and the baby down for a nap. AHHH I can finaly fold some laundry right? WRONG! My other sister dropped off her 4 kids aged 5 months to 4 years. I forgot I promised her I would watch her kids while she went to the doc. Tried to keep them away from my sick nephew so they don't catch it. By now it was 2:00 but it felt like this day has lasted a week. DH came home from work and went and layed down with my sick nephew. Thanks I could use some help with the 3 who are running around. OLder kids came home from school. I now had 9 kids under the age of 10. My newphew finally got picked up at 3:30.

Today was scouts. I am the den leader for 12 8 year old boys who run wild in my home every week. We made pinatas-which of course is very messy. I had to do it one-handed because the baby screams every time I put her down or give her to someone else. I locked my Dh in the play room with my other sis 4 kids-lucky him!! Sis picked up her kids at 5, her doc was running behind again. I would love to charge him for my time!!! Cub scouts went home at 5:30. I was to tired to make dinner so I threw in a frozen pizza. Helped kids with homework and decided that the laundry was never going to be folded. At this point I really don't care. In a few minutes I will put the kids to bed and hopefully get to go to bed also. Where are those bon-bons? Seriously, today was crazy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

phew... my day looks like a breeze to you all's! But, today must have been a fluke cause I know most days my head is spinning!

Woke up at 8:15 to my 3 yr old step son asking me to wipe his butt( always a pleasant thing to wake up to!) wiped the bum, washed my hands scrambled an egg microwaved some sausage - put breakfast out for 3 yr old. Collect the wash cloths from the kid's tub, throw in a load of towels to be washed. Collect 6 month old dd, since she is now singing to her dada ( who does not wish to be up yet, thanks for the help!) wipe another bum, dress baby, breastfeed. Dress 3 yr old. Find Dora on tv. Switch laundry, out comes the towels in go the whites. Load the dishwasher - then realize dh has to get into the shower, and im sure he would like some hot water ( I would like to shower today as well, but you know how that goes!) Get dh out of bed, which is a chore all in its self. Pick up baby out of her walker, she wants some mommy time. Sing Itsy Bitsy Spider about 10 times, and wave buh-bye about 50, breastfeed! Change Dora to Scooby Do! Put away towels, and finally start that dishwasher. Make tuna fish with pickles, no crust... make chocolate milk too. put down 3 yr old for nap, attempt to put down baby too - doorbell - its my girlfriend come over to pick up a phone I had forgotten I told her she could have! Visit. BF again, and successfully put down baby for nap. Wake up 3 yr old and give him a shower ( is afraid of bath tub) dress him again. Let him have a piece of cake, while he is eating I am cleaning their bathroom. Get up baby, wipe yet another bum. Drop off step son at his mother's work. She is ultra pleasant as always( if you cant tell, im being VERY sarcastic!) go to salon where I had my hair cut last night and tip the girl -since I forgot my cash last night. Have dinner with my mom at Applbees - entertain baby the whole time, barely eat. Go to Target to pick up some Monistat( Yeah!!!) come home, breastfeed again! vacuum the floor - put away those dishes from this morning. Oh no... I forgot to dry those whites! give baby a bath, breastfeed some more and she is down for the night! Finally get a shower and am patientally waiting for dh to come home.. its now 11:25~! I dont know if I can keep my eyes open much longer!

wow, I didn't think it was possible that there was a paralell universe but apparently there is because we are all living the same life! We just manage to get all our things done regardless of the challenges of the day and we do it with a smile, because if momma's not happy then no one is happy! Everyone should give them selves a pat on the back for our sensational multitasking and organizational skills!!!Well done , Selena
