my little brother used to do this. He would get busy playing and not want to stop to go to the bathroom. I don't know what my mom did about it. I was just a kid. All I can suggest is making your kids sit on the toilet periodically even if they say they don't have to go.

I know how you feel. My ds has been having accidents left and right this week but two weeks ago he was doing great. Its a big joke to him and he tells me he has to go, I take him and he laughs and won't sit down. He also laughs at me when I punish him. He has been really challenging the last couple of weeks. I guess we just have to stay consistent and hope they grow out of the phase.

KIm,

I wish I could say I have the miracle cure for this but I don't. I will say that from my experience, both personal and from what I have told, is that this is just a phase. Sort of like with kid who normally sleeps through the night but starts waking up out of the blue. They will figure out what is up and fix it. I will say I have been told not to push them, disipline them, or bribe them. I tried all of that just to GET my dd to START potty trining and nothing worked. I finally just started leaving her alone and one day out of the blue she told me she needed to go potty and that was it. No more fighting or sturggling. It will happen. Just remember to praise when it goes right but say something like"Its ok. Just keep trying and it will work out right". "Just take your time". I promise it will get better. HTH!!!
