I can't get homework done! HELP!

I am taking classes at home and my 16 month old daughter will not let me get anything done. It's not that she wants me around her all the time. It's just that when I pick up my school book, she'll grab a ball or book and bring it over to me. I don't feel guilty about saying "no, honey, not this time." It just seems that when I do get a minute to spend quality time with her she's not interested, but once she wants to spend quality time with me, I am far behind in my studies. Forget asking DH, he's busy also working on his Master's degree. What should I do? I refuse to put her in daycare.

Thanks! Tricia

what about when she takes naps? or could you put her to bed a litte early say an hour os so? Put in a viedo and say mommy has to read, you sit here and watch tv and if you are good when I am done we will,,-------------,, etc.

Can a friend watch her for 2 hrs a day? GL,,

I give her a bath at 5pm, feed her at 6pm, and she goes down at 7 pm so to get her down any earlier would be impossible because I also have to fix dinner for all of us around 4pm. I do get a little done during her nap and she does watch (and loves) her Baby Einstein videos but wants me to interact with her. Am I just stuck with getting what I can done during her nap?
