I decided to go shopping with my 5 month old son,the other day,so I loaded up the diaper bag,my purse, got the baby and his toys and blanket, and got in the car.I was surprised when I came home to find my husband was home from work, and upset with me!He said that the door was hanging open, when he came home, and of course my car,the baby and I were gone!He thought something had happened to the baby, and I had rushed him to the hospital!I have never left the house with the door unlocked and hanging open before!I guess I forgot to close it after I loaded everything in the car. There is nothing like having a baby to make you start to do dumb things, and forget stuff!LOL Anybody else done something like this?It will make me feel better to know that I'm not the only one!LOL!

Mine's worse sort of...I'm a bad bad mommy. My DD, my 1 yr old DS, myself and my parents were going to a hockey game one night. Being the great mom I am (LOL) I packed snacks for my DD and cookies for DS. Then I put their bibs into the diaper bag, and their snacks, and extra clothes for DS. I got his bottles ready and even a drink of apple juice in his sippy cup. Then I put DD in the van, and buckled DS into his car seat. Then I locked the front door (no that's not my sin) and opened the garage door and drove off. Picked up my parents and went all the way into the city to the hockey game. Can you guess what I did that was SOOO bad?! Leave the garage open? NOPE, I locked the doors, and I had the diaper bag...BUT yes I forgot to put his bottles IN the bag!!! They were sitting nicely on my countertop when we got home 5 hours later. My DS wasn't very good with a sippy cup yet he was only 9 months old, so I had a very thristy boy when I got home. Talk about feeling bad!! My DH said I thought you got bottles ready for tomorrow, or I would have called you before you went all the way into the game. I know exactly what you mean about the brain cramps!!! Shelley

I have you both beat, I got all 3 girls ready, got 2 diffrent diaper bags, blankets, jackets, snowsuits, all the extra's,, put my baby oh so nicley in her seat, tucked her in, took her to the car, buckled the seat, etc. After we got to where we were going and I went to take my BABY OUT OF HER SEAT,,,, She was NEVER buckled in the seat,,, the seat itself was buckled in the car, but I never buckled her herself in the seat,,, OMG,, I didn't sleep for days!!

yeah,, she is 3 yrs old now and I still remember it,, you should have seen the look on my face, It was terrible,, I went to unbundle her and took off the 1st blanket and then when I went to un-buckle it I could then see that I had not buckled it,, it was over her like I was going to but never did,, This is the same poor child that just this past summer choked on a life-saver,, and after 5 attepts of the hemlick, I had to call 9-1-1- thankfully I got it out before they could even get here,, and this is my 3rd dd ,, this poor child has been through sooo much and to think I
