Extreme Tiredness....*m*

I posted a while back about not being able to sleep will that has gotten much better! But now I have been getting really tired around four o'clock. I can barely keep my eyes open let alone care for Haylei. Luckily I have a wonderful MIL who lives very close by and she will come and get her so I can nap. But I feel guilty because I'm "pawning" our child off on her she already raised her son(my DH). Does anybody have any advice.
TIA,
Shelby
SAHM to Haylei

If I were you I'd probably go to the doc to get some blood tests ordered to check your thyroid function, hemoglobin, blood count etc. Other than that I can say that if I haven't had enough fluid throughout the day around 4:30 I am SO tired. Maybe you can drink more water or have a look at your diet and see if you're missing something.

Try a high protein snack about an hour before your crash time - cheese, turkey or peanut butter with a carb, like apple, pear, or whole wheat crackers. I have this same problem, and usually have a cup of iced coffee with 1/2 a PB sandwich on whole wheat. The coffee isn't necessary - I just love it. I make it a really naughty cup, with lots of cream and sugar. I make the sandwich while DS is napping, and the coffee is made the night before and kept in the fridge, so I just grab it when I feel the fatigue coming on.
Also - take a multi vitamin, or at the very least an iron pill.
Good luck!

Yes, she raised your hubby, but taking care of a grandchild is a different thing. She is probably enjoying the heck out of it. My MIL is going to buy a house near us so she can take care of her grandchild (her pride and joy) and I will pawn him off on her as much as she wants!!! A grandparent or other relative has an emotional investment in your child so it is not like a sitter or anything else. Having family taking care of your baby is a good thing. Your baby will bond with her grandparent and that is a great memory for both of them.
And do go to the doctor and get checked out. You may be anemic and you don't know it.
