I've been a SAHM for 5 years now... ever since my 1st trimester with my oldest (I had morning sickness SOOO bad I couldn't even work).

I went back to college for a year, but had to quit when I got pg with baby #2. I love to host birthday parties, and baby & wedding showers. I'm also attempting to learn cake decorating, and I hope to take up painting. DD and I have been playing a lot of "Mario Kart" on the N64 lately (LOL), and sometimes we play play-dough together or fingerpaint. Every once-in-a-while I work on my website (I like to update it for each holiday). I try to keep from getting bored (although if I really cleaned my house like I should I'd never get bored LOL)

Hi Venessa! I've been a SAHM for almost 8 months (since my dd was born). I have days in which I'm really bored and others in which I'm busy & happy. Since dd is so young and we live in a small town with limited offerings, I can't take her to Mommy & Me classes until she's at least 9 months. So, I've had to get pretty creative with things to keep me occupied. Although dd doesn't stay entertained for long so I spend a lot of my time playing with her. I love to read to her and we watch movies (musical ones are the biggest hit) together. It has also warmed up here in western Colorado so we've started taking walks and playing in the backyard. In a few months, I will start taking dd to the pool, she loves the water. I also take drives every once & awhile to a new place and bring my camera along to take pictures. I find that I need to get out of the house. I also enjoy cooking and interior design and am going to start doing a scrap book for dd. I think it's important to have hobbies that you do aside for your child. Also, see if you can't get out with your girlfriends or join a new moms group.

Hi Vanessa! I have been staying home since a month before we got married. We got married May, 98 so I quit working in April 98. We had our first child July 99 & then our second November 01. So I have not worked in 6 years! I keep myself/us busy by attending various playgroups. That way we can pick & choose what days we want to go & not have to worry about a schedule like we had when we took the Gymboree classes. We also play outside alot, go for walks, etc. My time for me comes once a month when I go to a scrapbook crop from 6pm-midnight. Of ocurse I work on books for the kids but scrapbooking does relax me no matter who the book is for! lol Oh & I, too, spend a lot of time online. My kiddo's are 4 & 2 so they are pretty independent. DS (4) y/o goes to pre-k Mon-Fri 12:30-3:30 so that gives me time to just spend with our daughter. And then my son & I do special things for just the two of us.

Good luck & hang in there! If you need anymore ideas, let me know! I've got lots! :)

I've been a SAHM for 3 years, since my oldest was born. I can't tell you what I do in a day because now that I have two the day goes so fast I'm going to sleep before I realize that I was awake to begin with.

When he used to nap I would read, crochet, knit (I'm not too good at knitting), nap or sometimes just watch something for grown ups on TV. We're always playing with something or going outside so I don't think I've been bored for the last 3 years. I remember being bored out of my mind when I was still working counting every tick of the clock till I could get out of there. Now I just go with the flow and try to enjoy every minute.

I found that working my schedule around the kids made my life so much easier and then I had time to do things for me. Then trying to get them to do things on my time.

Oh if you're wondering I get time to check the boards when I'm nursing the baby it's about the only time I get to sit down all day. :)

I have been a SAHM for about 3 years, give or take a few months.

I have two boys, ages 5 and 14 weeks. So I am never bored :)

We have a local moms group in my area that I started, so I am pretty much busy with that, keeping things going for the moms. I also try to work with my son with school related things and do crafts. Now the baby has so much to learn, so that keeps me busy as well. He is a cute baby and all smiles :)

I have been a stay at home mom for 3 years but I have worked at home for a 1 before that. I had a second child and that kept me busy. He is two now and we have all kinds of excitement!

Hi I have been a SAHM since my ds was about 1 1/2 He got very sick and was put in the hospital so my husband and I decided it would be best for me to start staying home with him b/c he kept getting sick from nursery. (he started when he was about a yr old and was sick almost every week... until then my mother kept him Bless her) When she couldnt keep him anymore we put him in nursery and he was always sick. I am so thankful now that Iget to be a SAHM I do not miss work at all. Now my son is 4 and I have a 18 mnth old. I also keep my sisters baby some during the week she is a nurse so it is not every day. I guess it has been a little over 3yrs now. I thank God that I get to stay at home and watch my kids grow I hope that I will always be here for them. Good luck and God bless
