This morning I moved the couch to vaccuum behind it, for the first time since before DS was born (he just turned 2 mos.). YIKES! We have two dogs, and one is a shedder. Well, there was enough hair back there to make a third dog. I expected it to bark at me and demand a bowl of kibble. As I'm typing this I'm wondering what kind of beast is lurking behind the huge oak desk I'm sitting at........fortunately it's way too heavy for me to move, so DH will have to do it.

Just confessing my sins......

rolfmao!! well if we're confessing, i can sooo top that, lol. dh brought a dear sweet un-housebroken puppy home last week, without consulting me of course, and of course the kids fell in love with it and i didn't have the heart to make him take it back, so the little ball of fluff has been crapping and pissing all over the house ever since. now, i may be a sahm and i may have to deal with potty training our kids, but i draw the line at potty training puppies. it was dh idea to get the stupid dog, so he can clean up after it darnit! so right now there's a beautiful little pile of puppy luv on the carpet in our bedroom, and it is sure as heck gonna stay there until HE cleans it up!! i saw it first thing this morning, took one look at it, told the kids to stay out of our room, and shut the door! talk about nasty.......lol!

eddited to say: i forgot to mention that the kids room is thrashed, the couch has had peanut butter smeared on it for at least a week, the vaccuum cleaner is broken (or at least that's my story for why the floor looks like s*#t, as my mother always used to say "sure you could eat off my floor, there's enough crumbs on there to feed an army!") the kids spilled birdseed all over the kitchen this morning and i'm using the computer as an excuse to not clean it up; the top of my dresser is buried in a couple weeks worth of pocket detritus; i don't even TRY to fold the clothes anymore, i just cheerfully attempt to shove them into the drawers on top of the other ones; and when dh asked me the other day how full to fill the bathtub for the kids' bath i actually gave him an "are you stupid?" look and said "just fill it to the soap scum line, duh!"

i tried flylady for a while and then remembered why my house is always dirty, three reasons: my kids are monsters, i hate cleaning, and i don't really care. very simple. so screw it, love it, leave it, or hire a maid. my best friend tells her hubby "you don't pay me enough to wash dishes," and i think i have to agree.

You all are HILARIOUS!!

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who doesn't clean all the time. This is pretty gross...but one of my cats suffers from really bad hairballs. It's all I can do to try and make sure that I keep my 1 year old away from the puke spots before I get them cleaned up. I usually wake up to 2 or 3 a week. Nice little present from the kitty. We also have hard wood floors along with 2 cats and a shelty (VERY fluffy dog)...you would think that we have 6 animals instead of 3 with the hairballs that I chase around.

I do really try to keep things clean...but it does get away from me. I look at my other SAHM friends homes and don't see how they do it. My husband keeps saying he's going to hire a cleaning service...I don't know if it's a threat or a promise, but, I'm ALL for it!!! :)
