Hi,

I'm new here and I have a one year old and an almost three year old. I just was curious for those of you who have schedules - what do they consist of? I'm just looking for ideas for us to become on more of a stable schedule and was hoping I could look at some sample schedules that are working for you guys!!!!

Thanks so much

Heather

Well, every child is different, but I will let you know what works for us. My daughter's(she is gonna be 2 in April) schedule has changed many times, but this is what we have been on the past few months-

5:30-6:00 am- Up and go downstairs to have a bottle-cheerios-applesauce and watch 2 shows (Bear In the Big Blue House and Miss Patty Cake

7:00-9:00 am- Free Play indoors

9:00-11:00 am- Nap

11:00-12:00 pm- Lunch and her special Miss Patty Cake DVD

12:30-3:30pm- Freeplay and snack

3:30-4:30pm- Either outside and a walk if weather is nice or Structure play with Momma and Daddy

4:30-5:30pm- Play inside

5:30-6:00pm- Bath and getting prepared for bed

6:00-6:15 or 6:30-A short DVD with calming music then off to bed.

On Tuesdays we go to Gymnastics so her schedule gets messed up and once a week to Grandmas. Other than that I try to keep her on a schedule only because she demands a schedule. She is a bear if she gets too far off. I have never been a believer in scheduling a child, but I have been forced into it by my daughter. It works out better than I thought. Now I am not looking forward to her changing on me again. Good luck!!

Trish :)

Hi!

Aspen has just turned 1. Her schedule is something like this: (weekdays)

6:30 up- oatmeal, books, play and sometimes Hi-5 on TLC

9:30-11:00 first nap

11:30-12:30 YMCA child watch while I work out

12:30 lunchtime, play till

3:00-4:30 second nap

5:00 dinner, play till

7:00 bathtime, then books and quiet play till

8 or 8:30, bedtime

Our "playing" involves toys and reading and going out. But she is great at going to bed at night...not so great at taking naps. Weekends means no gym...but the sleeping/eating schedule usually remains about the same, unless we are going out.

Thanks!

Melissa
