Hi Everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone has any good tips for getting some serious tangles out of my niece's hair. She has fine, somewhat curly (wavy)and very tangled hair. My sister has NEVER been able to get a brush threw it. If it were me I would just cut her hair, but my sister is afraid that she will lose the somewhat curly hair that she has. Instead of dealing with it she usually just puts it up in a small ponytail and it looks really cute, but when it is down it looks all matted. Any suggestions??

TIA

Hi! As someone who has been blessed/cursed (lol) with natural curly and very fine hair, I may have a few ideas. Conditioner is a must! Also Infusium 23 detangling spray always worked really well for my tangles when I was younger, or any detangling spray. Brush only when it's wet using a brush with a lot of room between the bristles. My mom kept my hair really long when I was little and she french braided it all the time to keep it out of the way. It worked great and didn't tangle. Shorter hair is much easier to deal with, but with mine, the shorter it is, the curlier it gets which I always hated because it made me look like I had an afro! Now I use gel or mousse to keep the frizzies out. Good luck and hope that helps!

Conditioner, I am sure that will help. They also make products for tangled hair. Have you tried looking for some?
I dont have much more advice, hope you find something that helps.

OMG I Use To Have That Problem To With Victoria's Hair Until My Best Friend Told Me When Ever Im About To Do Her Hair Try SOme Warm Water With A Little Shampoo So It'll Be A Little Soapy And Dip A Wash Cloth Into It And Rub Into The Hair To Me It Works Better Then The Detangler And Much Healther For A Childs Hair You Dont Want To Put All Kinds Of Stuff In Such Young Hair So Try That It Should Work.

My step mom uses coconut milk in her hair, and it keeps it really soft and absolutely beautiful. It's worth a try!

My dd also has curly hair and I use a spray on leave in conditioner. This is working wonders for us. I have used a few brands and get the same results so I don't think which one matters.
