Tummy aches?

Hi! Does anyone have a child that get tummy aches often? Both of my children seem to have them alot and I'm wondering if it's normal or if they might be allergic to something. They seem to come and go pretty quickly so that's good, but it still worries me. I asked their dr about it before we moved and she didn't seemed to be too concerned. We don't have a new dr yet but I need to get them in for their well checks soon. Just thought I'd check with the mommies here to see if you had any experience with this.

Thanks!

Do they get them after they drink milk or eat a milk product? Lactose intolerant people get stomach aches like that. All three of my kids are lactose intolerant. They get stomach aches, than some nasty gas, and then they get the all so wonderful runs. Just a idea that might be the problem.

I think it would be best to talk to another dr about it.
Have you asked your children what they have done or ate before they got their tummy aches?
Seems like it could be something since both of them are having this problem.
I hope you find the cause and they get better.
Good luck on finding a new dr as well.

I have gotten (more than the occasional) tummy aches since childhood. I recently tracked what I was eating and realized it was always after I ate eggs. Then I heard on the news that some people are sensitive to a protein in eggs that doesn't get "cooked out" when eggs are made on the stove. But the protein disappears when they are baked at high temps. So foods with eggs that are baked cause me no problems at all, but I get an AWFUL tummy ache when they are made on the stove. Too bad it took so long to figure out!! Something you may want to keep in mind and keep a food diary for them and see if any foods correlate. Hope that helps!
