Always a Bridesmaid....

Who watched this show? I saw it on Sunday night on TLC... it was so funny, and VERY true. How many times have you been in a bridal party, what was your part, and what happened? Do you regret the way you treated your bridal party, or were you the "perfect" bride?
i laughed so hard after watching this!!!! At the end of Sept. I was the Maotron of honor at my best friends wedding...I swore I would never do it again!!! The money, time and effort you spend is unreal! It is fun in the end, but nightmarish...have you been there?

Actually, I have turned down a few requests to be a bridesmaid.
Those weddings were across the country or while I was in university (across the country).
So, I haven't been in a situation where I felt strained.
For my best friend's wedding, I think I did a good job.
She really handled everything herself b/c she wanted to be focused on her wedding & had a loooong engagement to plan it luckily.
My maid of honor was my sister. I really needed help w/ a heavy silk train (too heavy for the delicate dress!)

I have been asked to be a bridesmaid in weddings, but have yet to do it. I would like to one day.
I didn't see the show, but I bet it was great! It was fun being a bridesmaid back when I was younger. But the last time I was in a wedding was almost 5 years ago and I was about 3 months pregnant with my 2nd. I hadn't even announced that I was pregnant yet and was just praying I could still squeeze in to the dress. I got to be designated drive at the bachelorette party and almost passed out in church because it was so hot. I just felt soooo old and fat!
What do you do with all those dresses and shoes anyways??
