I am going through school papers and have a few items I would like to laminate. I can't find the paper at our Wal-Mart. I'm thinking about getting a machine, but they are quite expensive. Any ideas, suggestions on what everyone else is doing? TIA Ann

I don't know if this helpful (If I recall correctly, your location is somewhat rural), but Kinko's (now FedEx Kinko's) has self-serve access to laminating machines. Quick copy joints might also provide similar service. If your quantity is such that you are hesitant to invest in the machinery yourself, it might be the way to go. They have various sizes of laminating "sleeves" right by the machine (price depends on size) and you put your work betweeen the sheets and run it through the laminator yourself. They might be able to send out larger sized items for you.
If I were going to buy a laminator, I'd check Office Depot, Office Max, Costco or other price warehouses, ebay ... I'd do a search on google. I'd also check craft suppliers like Michaels. Possibly Target and Walmart.
Good luck let and us know what you find.
Happy New Year!

I would check into a local place like Kinkos that you can either have it done or do it yourself. Yes laminating machines are quite expeensive along with the refill plastic. I am a retired teacher so I still have access to our local School District which I can laminate as many items as I would like for a small fee. Also you could scan them into your computer and make smaller versions of them too. Good luck!! I am gonna homeschool my child and that is such a great idea to keep them in a binder in case I ever had to have them.
Trish :)
Good luck.
