To knit or to crochet?

Have you done either and which do you think is easiest?
I tried to learn how to knit today and it was quite comical.

I've done both and I think crocheting is about a million times easier than knitting.
Granted, there are more stitch varieties in crochet (single, double, half double, treble, etc) versus knitting (knit, purl), but the crochet stitches are easy enough to learn, there's only one needle in crochet, and crochet "yarn management" is so much easier than knitting!
Maybe it's a personal problem :-) but my 10 fingers just can't manage two needles at once!

First off I am somewhat delusional thinking I have time to do this but oh well. That is the problem I am running into. My fingers will just not work with me, the yarn and the 2 needles.
thanks
Sarah
I'm a lurker but soon to be regular. My opinion is that crocheting is easier. Knitting is only difficult because you have to leave the needles in place when you have to step away in the middle of the project. Crocheting is nice because you can pop the hook out and go do what ever. plus it is easy to tote along with you.
