And do you remember how much you made?
I worked at a pizza place in high school. I hated it at first! I started in the summer and had to clean the restaurant each morning - vacuum, clean the tables, mop the floors, clean the bathroom (ick!) and then bus the tables after the restaurant opened. It was awful...but I was only 15 at the time and didn't know any better. After a few months I switched to hostess and cashier and loved it! It was a big hang out for teenagers so even if I had to work I still got to see my friends and meet lots of guys from other schools. I got alot of dates that way : )
I think I made minimum wage...can't remember what it was at the time...maybe $3.50 or so...but it seemed like a million since I'd never had a paycheck before. We used to get these pathetic raises every year...one year I got a 15 cent raise and was thrilled. I think that was the most you could get.
Oh memories...

My first job was at KFC. I was 14. I don't remember how much I made, it wasn't much!
I hated that job, I smelled like grease, and my face broke out, and the manager was a prevert. I didn't eat KFC for about 5 years after working there!
I haven't posted in a bit but I LOVE these types of posts!!!
Let's see I grew up on a farm so I guess farm work was my 1st job -- but with no paycheck.
My 1st paying job -- I was an official score keeper for the softball association in my home town -- i was 16 and it paid $7 a game -- 2 - 3 games a night -- 2 - 3 nights a week. I did this for 3 years and LOVED it!!

Besides babysitting my first "real" job was when I was fifteen. I worked at a Hotel(I use that term loosely...lol). I made 6 dollars an hour. I worked at the front desk from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. I loved it! The owners were three brothers from India. They treated me as if I was their own daughter and gave me the first constructive male attention I ever had. I even had time to do my homework.
Oh the stories and memories I have of working there...lol. I even got to wittness a true Indian courtship!
A big lesson I learned is that after eating Indian food it is very important to eat yogurt

I loved that job and had a good time doing retail.
I think my pay was around $6 a hour and that was a lot to me at that time :)
