Cold and Flu Season

I hope this isn't a dumb question...but it there a cold and flu season in the warmer climates? It seems like once the weather gets cold here we all take turns being sick until it's warm again. My kids are never sick in the summer. Just curious...

Well I am in Texas and right now it is a sunny 68 degrees. But it is still cold and flu season like the rest of the counrty.
A tip that I have that truly works is that if anyone in our family gets the sniffles I start simmering 1 cup of lysol and three cups of water on the stove(make sure to set a timer so you do not forget about it). Since I have started this, if anyone gets sick it does not spread. I have had a houseful of kids with one person getting sick and no one else. Also I am a stickler for hand washing. I always make sure that before any meal or snack the kids wash up and after coming in from outside.
HTH.
