naked? I was reading on another board that this lady lets her 2.5 year old daughter take a shower with her dad on the weekends. And they tell their DD that daddy and her brother have a penis, etc...I try not to change in front of Dom, but when I do, he pays little or no attention to me at all. Sometimes him and my Dh take a shower together, but Dom pays no attention to Dh's private parts. I just figured when he started getting really curious we would explain to him what girls have and what boys have. Do you think you should tell your child even before they are curious about it? Then this other post said this ladys 2 year old told her he wanted a penis as big as his daddys....I just don't think it's right to change in front of children when they are making those comments..whats everyones opinion??

I think it's ok for mommy's to change in front of dd's, but I am not too sure about ds's. I guess in front of ds's is ok when they are really little (babies) but not when they get older. As far as that showering thing you heard about a dd showering with a daddy, I do not think that is right at all. Mommy's should shower with dd's & daddy's should shower with ds's (until they reach a certain age of course). But of course its ok for mommys to bathe with ds's when they are babies too. I have always changed in front of my girls (even walk around naked before a shower sometimes...lol) but they never say anything. They really don't pay attention, but of course they are 8 & 11. My dh NEVER, NEVER changes in front of anyone, except me. So I don't know if he would even shower with our ds. I guess I'll have to get use to not walking around naked before Aston gets older.

I stopped taking baths with Andrew around 2 or so. I did not let him know about any of the birds and bees things until he asked. Him and his dad take baths together and I see nothing wrong with that at a young age. I think after 5 or so Chris stopped taking a bath with him, its just the baby now. I do not take one with Dalton though.
I think it is different for everyone, but there should be a certain age that it should be stopped, not sure when that is though.
