Last night started off ok. We had a good dinner, and Belle was relitively calm in the evening. We settled down at 9:00 to watch one of the final Everybody Loves Raymonds, when all of a sudden I heard this terrible sound. I muted the tv, and dh jumped up and ran outside. All we could hear was this super loud screaming. It was a man, and the sound he was making was the most desparate plea I have ever heard. He was screaming from his gut, and saying "Help me, God help me" there was alot of banging, then screaching tires. His cries went on and on and on, until the car was out of earshot. We could hear it speeding away. I ran in and called 911, but we couldnt figure out which direction the car was going, and we couldnt see it because of all the trees. The cops came to talk to us, and we couldnt tell them much, but I got a call from the officer this morning, he said that last night they had other calls as well, and might have more details on the direction it was headed. They think he was in a trunk of a car (based on what someone else saw from thier apartment window)
It was so scary, I hope who ever it was is ok. Needless to say, i dont think I got any sleep last night. I hope I never hear that kind of panick in someones voice again. I wish there was more we could have done. I will be devastated if I read something tragic in the local paper in the next couple days.

Xavier Trinity Skeye is turning the big 2!!!!
OMG!
I hope that person is ok.
Wow,
Hey Mel,
Other than the cop calling this morning to say others called in as well with more details, I haven't heard anything. I doubt I will, unless they need a stantement again, or I read something in the paper. I just feel sick about it.
OMG... how scary!!!!! I don't think i would have gotten any sleep either.....
i hope whoever it was is indeed ok and was able to survive whatever he was going through.
and at least you know you did the right thing by calling the police. i think that's all you could have done in that situation. I've been in a similar situation with past neighbors.. the wife (who was pregnant at the time) started screaming and yelling "please help me, get him off me" .. it was at night and i couldn't see what was happening but you bet your butt i called 911 immediately. I was so scared and nervous i could barely get the information to the operator. ((hugs)) I hope you're able to sleep tonight.
OMG..Lesley, I can not believe that happened. I sure hope the guy is ok. Was Belle ok through all of this or did she not hear a thing. I hope you feel better today & hopefully get some sleep tonight.
