Anyone else have a hard time dealing...

with puke? I've been very lucky so far...my kids have always been pretty healthy. But this morning my 4 year old woke up with a tummy ache and then proceeded to throw up. Yuck! My dh was nice enough to stay home until I drove my dd to school, but now it's just us and I'm all paranoid. He seems to be feeling okay right now but who knows. How do I know when he's better, when to feed him, that kind of thing? Am I the only mom that has a hard time dealing with this??

((Hugs)) Wendy! Does he have any other symptoms...a runny nose, fever, allergies ect. I am certainly no Dr but I could try and help with some more info.

What to feed him would depend on what other symptoms he has. I know as a mom it is hard not to feed your kids when they are sick but they need more fluid in my opinion. Most people do not want to eat after vomiting.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks for the hug Traci. I need it...days like this are so LONG (and it's only noon). He seems to be doing fine right now. He doesn't really have any other symptoms, just a tummy ache now and then. Maybe it was just something he ate last night. He's been drinking water and had some dry cereal and a few crackers...so far so good! I wish I could just could run a diagnostic test to find out what's going on, how to treat it and how long it will last. I guess I'd be rich if I could invent something like that : )

Maybe it was something he ate? I know Andrew has threw up and after he got it out of his tummy, he felt better.
I hope he is well soon.
((((((hugs))))))
