Hi!
I was just wondering if anyone has a washer and dryer they absolutely love. We have to buy both, and I'm a little clueless since I've never had one of my own. I don't want to get the cheapest one, maybe like one in the middle. thanks for the help! :)

Mine are Kenmore from Sears... I've had them since we got married 10 years ago and they still work great!

Mine are from Circuit City...the brand is Frigedaire. I looked very closely at all the pricey and moderate models and these had the best deal. Not only were they moderate priced but had lots of features of the more expensive brands.

The only thing I regret is that it is not the side loading washer to conserve water. Oh and the dryer is FAST!!

i dont know Kate, ours are a piece of pooppy lol.

My mom recently got one of those "new-fangled-ones" (her words, not mine lol) and she hates it. It's the one thats front loading for washer and dryer, that comes in differnt colors.

I have no advice for you. Oh, one of the draw backs on mom's unit is that you HAVE to use a certain brand of detergent, otherwise this thing goes nuts. Something to look into, it could get costly.

I, too, have Kenmore from Sears. They were just replaced last year, as my old, old, old Kenmores finally died. Very good reputation, as they are made by Whirlpool. As a matter of fact, my dryer we had bought from my BIL 13 yrs ago, and he had bought it used himself. Who knows how old it was. My washer, on the other hand, was 12 yrs. old. However, I think washers get more abuse than dryers. Also, I think what killed both my washer and my dryer was that I had to keep them in storage for ~1yr. while our house was being built. I think the washer parts may have rusted over that period of time, so it didn't last long once we moved in. The dryer I think, was just old and tired! LOL! Good luck making a decision!!
