I dressed the girls so they matched their favorite dolls. Molly has a Cabbage Patch doll, and I happened to find a beautiful dress that came with a matching doll dress. So she wore that, with a pretty matching ribbon. It is white, has crinoline underneath and has beautiful purple flowers with a large purple bow in back. I put her hair up and she was just adorable. Then Katie dressed to match Nellie, her Am. Girl doll. She even wore her hair like Nellie. They didn't have matching dresses, but they coordinated. They were soooooooo cute! I was so proud of them, and the photographer was very good and was having a ball with them. DH will die when I tell him I spent $70, when their package price deal right now is $8.88. LOL! I have absolutely NO self control. Not to mention I hadn't had their pictures taken in 2 years (bad, bad mommy!). I can't wait to get them in 3 weeks. I can't post them here or I would.

Just had to share why I wasn't at chat.

Hugs,
Wendy

Hi, Wendy! I meant to reply to this yesterday but got busy. My girls love American girl! Nikki has 3, a Today Girl that looks like her, Jess, and Kit. Jenny has Samantha. We went to American Girl Place in Chicago this summer!! We couldn't resist getting a photo of her and her doll in matching attire.

We saw the musical, ate at the cafe, got the pic taken, and shopped and shopped. I bought 2 dolls that day, Kit for Nikki and Samantha for Jenny. We flew out and back in the same day, which was exhausting but worth it.

Awwww, that's so sweet! She looks like she belongs on a cover!! I'll be that was an exhausting day! The nice thing about where we live, is you can hop the Metra train in Milwaukee and be there in a couple hours, for about $5 a person!! My IL's do this with the girls about once a year. I would love to go down and see the American Girl store. Next time you go, let me know - we can meet!!

Thanks for sharing!!
