I'm alone with the kids

And I'm just whining. . .
I have 4 kids. MAN OH MAN do they wear you out when you're alone!! Michael left for Canada late this afternoon for a medical conference for almost a week. I had a huge juggling act tonight trying to get dinner, and Matthew to soccer, and all four of them to deal with, bathing all of them and putting them all to bed. Then cleaning up the dinner, making Matthew's lunch, feeding the cats, scooping their litter pans, sweeping the floor, etc. Man, am I pooped!! I never fully realize how much I appreciate Michael's constant help until he's gone.
He was very sweet and left me a nice little love note with some Hersey's Kisses :)
I'm going to miss him so much. He's so far away! All the way on the other side of the continent, in a different country. It kind of feels weird. And I'm worried about the kids totally wearing me out this week. I think the weekend's going to be really hard with the boys not in school. My sister has promised to hang out with me every day. That should help, and make the time go faster. But she's gone at night and I never sleep well when I'm alone, so I'll probably get really tired this week.
Wish me luck going it alone!

Hugs Sofia! Its never easy when the daddies are gone. I know! I don't sleep well either. I think because I'm more relaxed knowing Mark is there beside me, and I am not fully responsible for every little thing going on in the house. We're partners and make decisions together. What do I do if I have to make a major decision and he's not here? LOL! Anyhow, I'll be thinking of you.
Huge hugs,
Wendy
Hugs Sofia!!
I only have one baby but she is a handful! I cant imagine how much more difficult it is with four children! Hope the days go by quickly for you and as stress free as possible!
Big Hugs,
Monica
Hope the week goes by fast for you and he is home soon.
(((((HUGS)))))
I can't imagine being left alone with my 3 for a week, I'd go crazy. I hope the time flies and goes smoothly.

I sure do hope that the week flies by for you!!

I do, Melanie. Thanks! Justin is only 5, so he's limited help; but I do get him to do stuff like set the table, make sure his sisters wash their hands, etc. Even when Michael's home I do this. But I have 8 year old Matthew running crazy, LOL!
I was 2nd to the oldest of 5, and well remember helping my parents with the younger ones.

Jessie, my boys are 5 and 8 tomorrow :)
Unfortunately, Michael's missing Matthew's birthday for the 2nd year in a row. He was in the Gulf Coast volunteering medical relief after Hurricane Katrina last year when Matthew turned 7. I sure hope Matthew doesn't get a complex, LOL!!

Wow Caitlin! I can't really complain to you! You poor thing. You must be so strong. I can't even imagine. Hang in there!! And prayers for your husband's safe return.
And that was good advice. I do let my DH know how much I appreciate him all the time :)
