It's nice. Dh took the kids on a picnic. I would have gone but after my unbelievable hectic day yesterday he kind of figured I'd want to veg at home today. Very understanding man. *sigh* LOL

I had to get up early, early and drive my mom to Birmingham which is one and a half hours away one way to cath a plane to TX. Then drive myself back home where we promptly took the kids to Lowe's for the build a craft they do twice a month. After that I had to run to the Party store to get a few plates ans napkins for my son's class pool party. Got back and made lunch while packing things for the pool party. After eating and done packing up we made our way up to the local rec center where they pool party was to be. I set the room up and kids atarted arriving. Was there for 2 and a half hours and repacked things and finally came home where I fell asleep while the girls watched Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (again) and my son went to a friends home to play. Dh was up stairs on his computer. I slept for an hour and then had to go get my son from friends home. Procrastinated about making dinner hoping dh would pull some money from a hat and we could go out. I finally made dinner which turned out pretty darn good but we were eating at 8pm, bed time. LOL Afterwards the kids changed brushed teeth and went to bed.

THEN, I remembered I needed to drive to my moms and get her mail cause she is expecting an important document that shouldn't have sat in the mailbox for two days till she got home. So I drove 30 minutes one way to get the mail and the document wasn't there, so I drove back home 30 more minutes and went straight to bed.

The last few days have been a whirlwind. My moms car died in the middle of an intersection on Thursday, I go get her and we wait for a tow truck (a policeman came and turned his lights on to help direct traffice around her dead car.) I take her to the hospital on the post to get some things take care of and got her back to work and had to run my errands after that. While possibly planning a trip to TX to go get her a car that my aunt gave her. Trying to set up for another parent to run the class pool party just in case. But, in the end my aunt also bought my mom a one way ticket to fly to TX to get the car to drive it back home. Hence, my early morning drive to Birmingham yesterday.

See? I need a lazy day. I'm tired again just typing it all out.

Enjoy your day! You deserve it!! Your husband sounds like a really big sweet heart for giving you a break. Hope everything works out with your mom's car.

I think you need more than just 1 day to yourself!
