Nothing planned but I need to clean up the clutter around here and finish my laundry from last week. We've been digging out of the dryer or a laundry basket for things. :-) Dishes need to be done since we ran out the door after dinner for the girls ball game. I am debating if I need to go see my Dr for a painful toe, I think it's dislocated. It hurts but I don't really want to go, ya know? LOL I've been having trouble with this toe for weeks and finally it's done something that is not so pleasant. My kids bathroom is almost done. Dh got the toilet reinstalled and I need to hang mirrors, shower curtain, shelves and put all my duckies out. I am excited to be so close to being done. It's exactly how I imagined it and I love it. We bought these wooden pieces that you put in the corners at the baseboards and it makes that room look really sharp. Very crisp and clean. Anyway, that is what I need to do. Now, will I do it? That is the question.

Happy Birthday Wendy!!!
Not much out of the ordinary here. I was hoping to get the kids outside for a bit today but since it is still so wet and is going to rain again I guess that wont happen. I also have the task of trying to get my four year old to quit itching her eye since over night she developed the worst case of pink eye I have seen in a while. Luckily my 3 year old just saw the doctor on Monday and she had pink eye so my doctor wrote a script for everyone and said to fill them if needed so now I have three cases of pink eye and I am hoping the inevitable doesn't happen and my almost 2 year old avoids getting it a he is already uncomfortable from teething.

Happy Birthday Wendy!

We don't have much planned here -- one load of laundry to wash and put away and then I think I am going to go thru the girls toys and get rid of some!!!! They have 2 huge plastic bins full of toys that have been in the closet for months now, along with the 3 huge toyboxes of toys out in their room -- then we have a seperate bin that just has playfood. Yep, WAY too much stuff!! My aunt is having a garage sale this weekend, so I may take some things there, and the rest I will take to goodwill.

We have to run to the library this afternoon and pick up a few books we have on hold, then we might stop and have ice cream. (Normally we would stop for Starbucks, but I dont think the new baby wants to swim in caffeine!)

Tonights dinner is homemade Enchiladas and Spanish rice. Of course I'll have to test out the salsa around lunch and make sure its okay, lol.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Happy Birthday Wendy :)

It's warm and sunny again today, almost muggy this morning...I'm still adjusting to Virginia's humidity and heat after living in Chicago's deep freeze for so long (we always joked that we had no fall or spring there, it was freezing winter for 9 months a year and then we would have 3 summer months of searing heat before it started snowing again! lol)

Ellie and I headed out to the local Farmer's Market this morning, which runs May through Oct. We got potatoes and tomatoes, peppers and onions, strawberries and a few different kinds of local apples...and then a loaf of zucchini bread, mmmmm. I think I'm going to make BBQ chicken tonight (I have this recipe for Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce that is fantastic) and just serve it with fried tomatoes and zucchini bread and maybe some strawberry shortcake for dessert. Then of course we had to go see the animals before we left...Ellie goes bananas when she sees the cows, screaming "booooo! boooooo!" (she's not so hot with saying her m's, heh). DH has been playing with this farm puzzle with her and it has a sheep puzzle piece, so she shocked me when she saw a sheep and shouted "BAAA!! BAAA! 'teep!! 'teep! BAAAA!" It's like everyday she's saying a new word and recognizing more...she's getting to be very fun :)

I need to run to the pharmacy later and pick up some Rx refills and I would like to take a walk this afternoon. DD just got a water table and I think while the shortcakes are baking we will get ourselves wet and break in the new yard toy! I have a list of "shoulds" (floor should get scrubbed and bathroom should be cleaned and yadda yadda yadda), but the entire rest of the week is packed with appointments and errands and today is our only day that nothing HAS to get done...and so I think I'll just let the chores pile up a wee bit and enjoy the weather and do some baking :)

Have a good one everyone!
