I am traveling (flying) alone with my 8 month old and my two year old. I purchased three seats so that won't be an issue. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have yet to fly a plane with DD, but I'm sure you'll do great!

Good Luck!

look online for a product called "earplanes". Make sure they are the infant ones. They are awesome! And I believe you can use them more than once. They are special earplugs that help relieve the pressure in your ears.

We have only flown with the girls to Portland and it is a 45 min flight. But my sister flys with 2 kids from NC to Oregon a couple times a year. She straps them in their car seats and brings lots of activities. For layovers and plane changes, she has a big stroller that she can put one car seat on top of it and has a rolling case for the other one. Then one kid in the stroller and one kid in a backpack or on a kid harness/leash. For plane changes she askes the fight attendent to get another airline employee to help her from gate to gate. They will usually do it happily and if you are flying Southwest, they will probably have it set up for you before you ask. I flew with all 3 of mine by myself when they were 3, 16 months and 2 months old. The only thing I carried was my 2 month old. Everything else was taken care of. Even loading the carseats. The pilot even jumped in to help and made sure that I was totally taken care of before he allowed other passengers to board. So, ,to make a long story short...get the infant earplanes, and ask for help! Sorry I made it so long!

Hi there!

My DH is a pilot and although I haven't traveled by air with our dd, I know alot of women who have so here's some of their tips:

1. Take your diaper bag as your carryon and put your essentials in it (keys, wallet, etc.) so that you're not trying to carry tons of stuff *well, you will be anyway, but...*

2. I highly recommend bringing their carseats.
