On tuesday Makayla, my 2 yr old.. was jumping off the couch.. we have hardwood floors and i was telling her to stop before she hurt herself.. well of course she didn't listen and jumped one more time and hurt her leg/foot.... she wouldn't put pressure on it for the longest time.. but it NEVER swelled or burised, so i wasn't to concerned... she finally did walk on it after a few hours but she was limping really bad..
Yesterday she was limping still and my sil came by (she's an rn) and looked at it.. she seems to think she's ok and just sprained it or jammed something...
well last night my step mom came by and kept telling me to get her checked out cause she could have fractured her bones and it could stunt the growth in her leg..
NOW i'm freaking out cause she is still limping on it but not like she was yesterday or the day before.. she doesn't complain about it hurting or nothing.. i can hold her foot and leg and move it in all directions and poke everywhere on it and she still doesn't complain...
my question is.. would you take her to get her checked out or do you think she's ok?
ps.. i have NEVER broken a bone in my body nor has my son so i don't know what to expect when it comes to things like this..lol

IMHO, I would take her to the dr. I am sort of paranoid about things like that, and I would rather be safe than sorry. Likely she did just sprain it, and will be just fine. But I would rather have it checked out, esp. if there is the slightest chance that something is broken or torn, and could heal incorrectly.
Good luck with everything...keep us posted and let us know what you decide!

Kids bones are
If she still limping, I'd call her Dr and tell them what happened, then they can make the decision as to whether or not she should get it checked out.
For your own peace of mind you can. But, all three of my children have broken a bone and the jarring of the car ride to the ER always made them cry with pain. There was no moving it either. Maybe call your Dr and just talk to them and see what they think maybe. Tell them that you RN sister/SIL looked at it and felt it was fine. But she is still limping on it.
