Hi Everyone,
I am new to this board but not new to being a SAHM. I have 2 boys 15 years and in the 10th grade at HS and 11 years old and in the 6th grade at MS. I have been home since the birth of my oldest (15 years!). This is our first week of back to school and this year feels a little lonelier than before. For the past four years I served and VP and then President to our Elementary schools PTO. Needless to say, that kept me quite busy, which I loved because being involved in your child's school is very important. Middle school doesn't bring much opportunity for voluteering and I know that I need to really spend some "me" time. Why do I still feel lonely? I know it is probably normal. Sorry for rambling, I really should get some housework done today lol!!
Thanks for listening
Annette

Hello and welcome to this board. Im Antonia, DH is Jared, DS is Cameron he is 4, and DD is Alyssa and she is 5 1/2 months old. It so funny how when you have all the free time in the world you actually want to spend it with your kids and when you dont have any free time you wish you could be alone for 5 minutes. I get this way all the time. But I am sure once you get into the routine of the school year you will find that alone time is very special. Good luck and open a book up, you could easy spend a couple hours daydreaming about other people.

Thanks for your input everyone! I finally got some things done around the house this morning and that always feels great. DH is traveling tonight (again) for 4 days. Back to being a semi-single mom!
Thanks
Annette
