little flowers are that I was wondering about the other day. They are called "pinks". Maybe there's more to the name, but that's all I know, and was enough that I was able to find some today to plant!! DH was walking Maggie last night and ran into another dog-walking-neighbor who identified the plant to him. This is big excitement for our house, DH and I leading such an exciting and glamorous life, dontcha know...LOL Also got some herbs I've been wanting to play with. I went to the neatest little garden center: so many interesting plants and fragrances. It's always so tempting to try some new plants. It's unfortunate that I don't have more of a green thumb, but we'll see how it goes.

DD2 had a nice Easter weekend with her BF and his family. It was his 22nd birthday, and his birthday *cake* was what we call plum pudding, and I thought that was just for Christmas. Well, what do I know anyway, but it struck me as funny, a fruitcake for his birthday cake. LOL But he said he really likes *puddings* so it works for him! DD will have her birthday while he is here this summer, and she has requested an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen! Yum. There are so many foods she was him to try, and places she wants to show him. He has no concept of how really hot it gets here! July and August can be rough. Thank goodness for air conditioning!

DD1 has started her exam preparation. That begins with reviewing and organizing all the material, sometimes alone, and sometimes 3 or 4 of them divide the material up and somehow share it together. That really does seem to work well. But, no matter how it goes, the process seems invariably to end in a frenzy of study and panic and self-doubt. It is rough on her, and rough on DH and me, as well! From what I have heard, this is how it is for lots of law students and their families. Well, she's just got one more year. Along with getting ready for exams, she's still trying to find a place to live this summer in Italy. There are lots of apartments to share, but the city where she'll be is an expensive place to live. She always manages to work things out though, so I'm not too concerned. She attempts fairly adventurous things in life, but she always manages to pull them off very well. It's taken me long enough to grasp that!

I'm feeling a little guilty playing here on the computer when there are still plants waiting, and a kitchen to straighten. Yep, feeling a little guilty. LOL But I'm in no hurry to tackle anything except maybe making myself a nice glass of iced tea. Hope you have all accomplished much today (if you needed to!) and/or just enjoyed a good day. Seren

Never knew they were called "pinks." I buy them as little carnations, and use them for small flower arrangements. They enhance any dinner setting.
