Getting ready for vacation

The beef jerky is done.

I went to the doctor this morning, I had a change in the ringing in the ears it sounds like I am listening to a flood from the inside. Taking on the phone is really something. Sneezing and that sounds like a megaphone from the inside out. The doctor said he wanted me to use some ear drops he can see some wax that he didn't want to dig out...thank God I can't handle them even looking in there let alone sticking something in...lol....Allegra and to quit the Diet Coke. Eat and drink a lot of fruit and juice. Plenty of veggies. Drink bottled water. Lay off the red meat and cut the chicken and sea food in half. Is this guy nuts? He is the nice one from India or where ever....When he went out the nurse told me he was a vegetarian..I don't know why I should suffer with his problem.

When he came back I told him that I was glad that he wasn't something else he laughed and said just give it the time while you are on vacation if NOTHING has changed by the time you get back he would buy me and DH a steak supper. But I had to be good and not cheat.

So there is where I am.

Then this morning a lady here in town that has a son graduating from college wanted a big graduate sign to put in her yard. By Monday......We are leaving Sunday. DH said yes....luckily she said that she would paint it..it is just black...lol....whew...Janet

Think you'll become a vegetarian convert, Janet?!!

Sure hope that something will help keep the swhooshing sounds to a minimum for you!

Were you tempted to lay out the needed tools and tell your DH, "Go for it!", Janet?!! Why is it that men very often think they have a right to say 'yes' for us?!!

Hugzzzzz..

Janet, I use Stevia, which is a natural sweetener sold in health food stores. I get in in packets like the sugar packets. I could not use nutrasweet or splenda because they caused problems for me.

Hope you have a great vacation.

Well, Janet, at least he didn't say "no" meat. It sounds to me like he is serious about figuring out your problem. Sure hope this helps.--Pat

Know what is funny? I don't have to drink diet Coke. Or use Equal. I am not diabetic and with exception of a once in a while bowl of cereal I don't use sweetener at all. So I can use plain sugar without a problem. It is just that I liked the taste of diet Coke better. But if I go to iced tea then I will have to have sugar so strange....

I got used to having the bottle of soda with me and drinking it warm. But water needs the cold for me to drink it. I told the doctor that I like to squeeze a little lemon in it then put it in the frig. He said terrific....

Could I get by on just veggies? No. Sometimes I may hardly eat any meat. Like I will fix a split chicken breast and split it with DH and not eat all mine. But without it for some things there is no flavor.

I forgot to tell you. The doctor had me lay down, how is that gall bladder doing? lol..he pushed around on my stomach and he said, you have wonderful muscle tone it is just this little extra here. LOL... A little extra.....ha....Janet

Janet, have a great time on vacation. I hope by the time you get back you're feeling great, or have a great steak dinner on the Dr. Hope the fishing is good this time! I'll miss you on the Board. Stay safe and enjoy!!! Hugs Lynda
