Good Morning, Dear Bugs

Our trip was was wonderful! Much more enjoyable than I had imagined it would be! It's a *given* that I don't like Florida all that much, so having sich a wonderful time was a pleasant surprise.

I missed visiting the garden every morning, but I must say! I saw many lovely flowers on my journey. More about that later and on to ...

Part 1 of 3 ... Travel

Our round trip flights between Providence and Orlando were on time and uneventful. Southwest is an efficient, no-frills airline, so we bought our own healthy snacks. Cookies, fruit chews, and peanuts are not my favorites. ;-)

Did you see the report on the news about two pilots who took Southwest's no-frills policy a bit too far? By removing all their clothes and flying the plane almost nude? LOL! Our pilots were fully clothes both at take off and landing. LOL!

Arriving at the airport two hours ahead of departure not only insured our seats on overbooked flights but it meant that our luggage was first to be checked, last to be loaded on the plane, and first off the plane and onto the carousel.

Our rides to and from the airport were on time and without traffic problems and our rental car was ready and waiting for us in Orlando.

It came complete with a Magellan Never-Lost system which was easy to program and directed us to all our destinations without problems. I would definitely consider one for our own cars in the future.

Bonus! We didn't have to drive to Boca Raton after all! It was to pick up one of my DM's friends, but when her family learned we didn't live in the area and were going many hours out of our way, they drove her themselves. So ... we were off! Heading north to Daytona Beach.

So that's part 1 of 3 ... the uneventful but necessary part. More later.

Now it's off to read the board and play catch-up.

F.

I look forward to hearing more about your trip. I have a navigation system in my van and love it. I didn't plan to get it, but a customer had ordered it and turned it down. I will definitely choose one next time. You were truly missed. Glad to have you home.

I heard a bit about some pilots but didn't pay attention. Your story must be it. I suppose people do get bored of the movies sometimes (lol).

So far, it sounds like a nice flight. I anxiously away part 2. Kathey
