Well, I'm off since it's 9:43 pm here in CA. Went & picked up my dd tonight from the bus station ... she's home safe & sound and had a very good time. Was supposed to work today but mom's bf ended up staying with the kids but I'll get paid for it anyways (just been up since 6:30 am when it wasn't necessary LOL) Tomorrow, along with having to cook in expectation of the meeting with ds's gf, I have to go over to my mil to talk to her about her moving since dh just doesn't want to deal with her. And then he turns around and says "but you're not in it by yourself ... you always think you have to do everything yourself". I guess since everyone has told us the same thing, it really will come to pass. With her son in jail, now he's in the hospital cuz jail didn't want to give him his medication, she no longer get his disability check ... guess the state now gets it so she can't afford to stay there any longer. Then I will have to talk to her landlord. Maybe we can swing this until he gets the house turned into section 8 and then we'll be set. Will let you bugs know what happens.

Oh dear, Maryalice, you are in a situation. I'm glad your daughter is home safe. I hope you can get some help in handling your MIL. Is she eligible for assisted living? It isn't fair that the whole thing falls in your lap but that's what happens so often. I think if you get a hold of Department of Aging they might give you some help or leads as to who to contact. We have a program here called Consumer Advocates which can give financial help with rent and other things for the elderly. Maybe you have such a program. I will pray that things work out. Kathey

Hang in there, Little Bug!

Things have a way of working themselves out. Don't you wish it would happen just a it faster?

Many blessings!

She's ok, Kathey. She's about 68, very independent, but has this hang up about going into a senior citizen place (I have decided I want that when I'm eligible ... they take care of the lawn, snow, etc. and I think it's great! LOL). As I said, she's moving in with one son I'm sure til she's able to save some money and then she'll get her own place. I have found over the years that if I want something done, I have to do it. If I wait on others, it won't happen. I don't see any reason why we just can't move in once she's out and pick up paying the rent. From what I understand, her landlord is a really great guy and has let her fall behind in the rent before (hopefully she doesn't owe him an arm & leg! LOL And when my refund comes back, I'll have extra money. And this way, there's no "one month rent, one month deposit" with applications/credit checks to go thru.

Yes, Francine ... a little faster would be great but it's always on His time schedule and not ours.
