Symphony was wonderful! Emanuel Ax, who is one of my favorite pianists, played a Mozart piece that was just glorious! His fingers just fly over the keys! This was not only our last concert but the last of the symphony season as well. At the end all the members who are retiring were given special tributes and there was one standing ovation after another!
Unfortunately the concert and festivities lasted so long, we didn't get to the fundraiser until about 11:30PM. But we tried. We made an appearance, albeit a short one.
My DH is working today and I was supposed to go to the Art in Bloom Exhibit at the MFA today. Yesterday my friends and I made an eleventh hour decision to go tomorrow instead. The *one* person who works and could only go today isn't feeling well, so we changed our lunch reservations and are going tomorrow ... less crowded, more parking, much better.
Bonus! An alone day at home with the girls AND more time to catch up in the Garden! All things happen for a reason. This was a good one.
My new strategy here is to click on *today* messages and respond to them only. It means I'll miss some from time to time, but the whole view is still so overwhelming for me.
Well, I think I'm caught up here. Bye for now and have the BEST day.
