We ate at a restaurant called Shells.I had never heard of it, but it's very popular--we had about a 30 min. wait. While we were waiting, a couple standing next to us, put on a REAL SHOW! The guy was standing behind the girl and I SWEAR to you, he had his arms around her, and was contantly rubbing her breasts!!! I kept wanting to tell them to just go back home or get a motel room!!! We finally got seated and away from the Love birds! Both of us had fish, of course & it was really delicious. I then went to his place to change for the reunion.
The first night of the reunion drew an even larger crowd than the 2nd night. We had about 25 from our class, but there was close to 150 all together from the 5 classes. The reunion was held at the Bomb Squadron, which is really a restaurant. We were greeted at the door by cheerleaders of the present HS school and we were lei'd as we entered the building! Of course, I had to eventually remove the lei, since it clashed with my outfit! (the lei was red & blue, HS colors, I had on a tangerine colored capri set) And yes, BB, there were a few people there with parrots on their heads!! Everyone met out on the patio and got reaquainted. I must tell you that the girls in my class looked great! The guys? That's a different story. I think Susie, or someone else might have said the same thing about her reunion. It was great seeing everyone, esp. my best friend from HS, Sue. I think we finally left about midnight. I was one tired bug since I had been up early and had been flying all day.!
The next day, my niece & grandnephew came to visit. We all went to a Chinese Buffet for lunch, then to the Wellington Mall for a couple of hours. Then I had to head back to get ready for the second might of the reunion. It was hard getting dressed, because every few min. some distance relative would come to visit. I hated leaving some of them, but told them to come back on Sunday when we'd have more time to visit, which they did!
I danced the night away! I honestly think that I danced every dance on Sat. night!! I was dipped so many times that it's a wonder I can walk at all this week! My old 5th grade BF was there and since his wife had to work and my DH wasn't there, we danced quite a bit !!
I can see that I have a lot of catching up to do when I return home. I want to read all about Francine's trip, too!
BB and Dannie, I saw that there was an earthquake in your area! Hope you're ok...
I guess I will spend the 15 min. I have left on the computer to do a little reading.
~~~more to come~~~
Hugs, Shari
Pab, when is your birthday? No, I don't want to miss it.
sounds like you are having a great time.
enjoy yourself,
BTW, I slept through the quake. But, according to the guy at Georgia Tech (where else?), we may be in for after shocks over the next two-to-four weeks.
Hugs,
Dannie
I think its May 4th...
It sounds as though you're having a grand time!
My DH and I attended his 40th high school reunion last year. Mine is coming up sometime this year, but I haven't gotten any information yet. It's always interesting to see people after so many years.
My favorite question is always: What ever happened to ____? There are a few class members who seem to drop out of sight right after graduation and have yet to surface.
Keep on enjoying!
