I have only read the headlines here on the board. See that BB and Dannie had an earthquake. Didn't realize that there was a faultline down your way. I think there is a big one in Missouri. I see Sharons name on the board. I will try and catch up later. Spent the entire day in the yard working yesterday. Off to shower and then run some errands. If it doesn't start raining I've got more to do in the yard. Ciao! KaCee

Poof!!! I'm gone!!

KaCee! Was wondering where you were. Yardwork, huh? I've just a few more plants to work with, but before that I've got to get 3 more letters written and to the post office. I put in a good morning's work at the office, so I'm starting to get on top of things again. Every once in a while, I just let things slide, especially if someone has recommended a wonderful book series...LOL I completed the first Sara Donati book, and ordered the next, it should be here in a day or so. Did you watch The Manor House? I know you must have. TJ and I watched, and I wonder if Kt did?? I am enjoying it. DH and I both found it thought-provoking about everything from differences in contemporary and 1905 child-rearing, what attitudes such a strong class system creates and how they were affected by wars and so on, and throwing modern independent people into those expectations...anyway, I definitely would want to be the wealthy lady!! Boring maybe, but the scullery maid's job had *nothing* to recommend it! But the more you know about different cultures, the more you want to know, don't you think? Well, here I am, gabbing on and on about a *reality* show, and the 3 letters yet to be written. :o(( Got to run. Hope to hear from you more as you have time. Ciao to you, Seren.

Hi Seren, Checking in as I eat some yogurt for lunch. Taped "Manor House" last night. Haven't watched as yet, will watch tonight and then tape tonights episode. Like you, the accents sometimes throw me especially the first 1/2 hour or so and I like to be able to run it back and try to understand. Sounds like you enjoyed it. Like you, I would also have to be upper class, no cleaning chamber pots for me! I hope you got your letters written. I need to pot two roses I bought and spread some bark in the newly weeded gardens in hopes of keeping them weed-free. Then I need to spend an hour or so catching up on some end of the month stuff. Property taxes due tomorrow and I have to remember to put the new tabs on the truck so I don't get a ticket!. What fun! Ciao, KaCee

No, darnit, I still haven't gotten all my correspondence done....drat! I'm not in the mood and I'm pouting. :o( What a brat I'm being! Well, I did get one package mailed, and two notes written and off. Just two more to go, and they both have to be taken in and weighed for postage. Oh, I'll get them done in just a minute...But first, no, no chamber pot collecting in the mornings for me, thank you very much! But, too, I think it is probably realistic that all the blame and grouchiness could probably end up being loaded onto the lowest person on the power chain. Isn't that the way life is?? Good thing this won't be conflicting with Survivor on Thursday night. Got to keep my TV viewing organized if nothing else gets done! OK, you get your truck all tabbed up, and I'll go churn out two more notes (one has to be in German...whine whine). I'm really leaving now..LOL Seren
