I know it's been a couple of days since I checked in but have been so busy. We will be renting my mother in law's house!!! Since both my son and daughter came to me and said she was moving the first week in May, I figured I had better get over there and talk to her. Went Sunday morning and she was in the process of having most of her furniture moved out. It was great that I did cuz while I was there, the owner came by with the For Rent sign, asked her if she knew anyone who wanted the house and I was introduced. I am so happy, ladies. I can swing the rent as things stand now and can't wait to turn her house into my own. She's moving out on Saturday and we will move in. Can't wait. Thanks to all of you that offered up good wishes/prayers. Now I'm off to read all the other posts. LOL

That's a reason to celebrate, MaryAlice. Good luck with the move. Stock up at the grocery store. Buy a bunch of flowers for the kitchen table. Make up the beds and hang your towels ... and you're all set.

Now ... when can we all stop by for tea? ;-)

Many blessings!

she's been there 5 years, Hope. I know how hard it is to leave a home but this is really for the best for her and definately the best for me at this time in my life. My friend is behind in his rent and unless he catches up, he will be evicted and I definately don't want to be out on the street especially since I pay my portion of the rent to him. God does take care of me and mine. Always has and always will.

Thanks Wren. Dh keeps asking me what's wrong ... sees stress in my face. I told him to wait until we were moved and settled and see if the stress has left me. Hate moving and the kids I watch (the 2 school age ones) drive me crazy at times. We're living at their grandfather's house so it's hard since they used to live here too ... they feel as if it's their own and then the youngest asks me something, I say no and she turns around and goes to grandpa and he says yes. Arrrggghhh. Can't wait til next week!!!

Definately a reason to celebrate, Francine, and the closer it gets, the more I want to get out of here and get settled! Will move in on the 3rd and will go grocery shopping the next day. Always try to buy for the whole month. And there's a rose bush right out front so I will have flowers for the table.

Tea??? Anytime, my friend. My coffee pot is always on ... nothing to heat up the tea kettle for friends.

It's one family home, all on one floor, Kathey. Front yard and huge back yard. Of course the back needs trees put in and more grass put down. Patches of dirt are very dry and cracking but dh can take care of that. LOL There's a rose bush in the front and have already informed dh that I want another rose bush and lilac trees/bushes. I love lilacs. In time, will have more flowers.
