My last day in FL

good morning, L'bugs. It's my last day & it's a little rainy outside. That didn't stop me from walking to the library though. It's been great visiting with my step-father, but a little sad, too. He is very lonely and I also keep expecting my DM to come in my BR each night to give me a good-night kiss. <<>>

On Sunday, we had a memorial service for her at the cemetary. I told my brother, that I thought maybe she was playing a joke on us and was really alive somewhere, since they had not put the date of her death on her tombstone! We recalled the time that she put a cast on her arm and wore it to Bible Study and told everyone that she had broken her arm. When they all started prayers, they of course prayed for her arm to heal. At the end of the prayer, she tossed the cast off and said, hurray, the prayers worked, I'm healed!! LOL

that's the kind of mother she was-full of fun! Do you want to hear something strange? Her three best friends from childhood all died within two weeks of her death! I bet there are some jokes being played *up there* now!! :)

On Monday, I took the train from WPB to Deland. I actually enjoyed that ride. I did some reading and even took a little nap. After a couple of hours I did have to ask for a pillow. (not for my back but for my bottom!) It started getting a little sore.

I'll be flying out tomorrow at noon and will be arriving home around 7 pm. DH said he'll take me out to dinner after I arrive. Soooo,I'll hope to get back to the computer on Sat.

How was chat last night? I thought of you guys! I something to tell you about the reunion that can't be put on the boards. It'll have to wait for the chatroom.

Can't wait to get home and read all about the Savannah trip. Sounds like so much FUN!

Love,Shari

Hi, Shari

You certainly have aroused my curiosity! Something to tell that can't be put on the board, huh? ;-)

I'm not a chat person but I just might have to stop by next week to find out what's up.

I'm looking forward to the Savannah trip, too. I plan to go non-stop and see everything that can be squeezed into those few days ... and ... of course ... get to know the attending LadyBugs in the flesh.

Have a safe trip home.

F.

Hi Shari.... Sorry I didn't see this last night... I love leaving you messages..

Yes I do believe that your Mom's friends missed her and it was their time to join her in Heaven, NOW they are all having a great time I am sure of...

I hope your trip back is Safe and Sound and that you will at least pop in when you get in ( at least for a minute or two)...

I will be going to a burial too in a few weeks too... remember my mom died a week or so before yours.... I am NOT looking forward to THAT... YOU see I am a very feeling person who breaks down very easy and I really crashed when my Dad die... Just seeing the casket is going to make me realize "she" is really dead, and not coming to talk or see me again, her body is finally gone.... She died 8 days after my birthday

Oh well enough of this... today is Friday and its rainy and very foggy here this am I plan on my Gene Kelly singing in the Rain while I walk in the Rain, which helps with thought I love walking ..

YOU smile and Enjoy your Dinner out See you whenever wren

Oh Shari, what a beautiful post. Your mother sounds like she was a very special person. I know you will miss her a lot. That ache never completely disappears, justs eases somewhat.

Looking forward to your return and your humor. Take care.
