don't know about anyone else, but we had one heck of a storm last night.

we met our son and his family in darien, ga. for supper last night and arrived

back home around 9:30.

about an hour later the storm hit. the wind sounded terrible, it woke us up several

times during the night. don't know how much rain we got.

this morning i got up and looked outside and two big limbs had fallen on the fence again.

the goats were no where near them so, i poured us a cup of coffee and we sat down to drink it.

well, i looked outside and there is one of the little goats pretty as you please happily eating my daylillies. so, here i go yelling like a crazy person for her to get out of my flowers.

finally hubby got out there and penned them up until he could move the limbs and fix the fence.

the bad part is the daylillies were just about to bloom.

hope your day has been better than mine, lol.

Mmmmm..must have been a delicious meal, just in their most tender phase, just before blooming. Sorry, I know you're sad about your lost daylillies, but that is such a cute story of your little goats..LOL!!....Hugs, Susie

Hugs,

Hi Ellen! Hope all your plants are edible since goats love to eat any kind. Those daylillies were a nice little snack! You must have gotten our storm! It was pretty scary. We had some thunder and lightening and strong winds and rain for awhile. We had just gotten home and got the bird's cage in just in time, last evening! Have a good week end! SusieK

Well, the next time you have a goat that is not feeding, you know what it likes (LOL).

I don't know flowers but do know that some are noxious, especially the green parts. Can you move that part of the fence to be clear of the tree?

I love your goat stories. Kathey

susiek,

i am just glad they got into the daylillies and not the azaleas. azaleas are poisonous to goats.

hopefully they will grow back and finally bloom.

Oh Ellen, I hope you don't mind laughter at your tale. I can picture waving arms and anxiety during your chase. That little feller better look out for you. Such nerve.
