Couldn't wait until my Girls grew up so I would have no more "little league". Duh, now I'm taking my GS. DD#1 is working this weekend, so DGP's get to get up at 7Am (I'm not a morning person) to get GS to field for pictures at 8:20. Last week opening day "rained out" sooooo they had it today. GS had his game at 10AM. It was over by 12PM. Back home and now I have 4 nine year oldsin my family room. It's "kid" protected. Nothing really they can distroy. Cat's done her business on the couch, we have linolium and some old tables. By the way, that Bissel shampoo for Pet's is great. You can spray it on straight. Takes that "cat" smell right out.

Gave notice at work Thursday. My last day will be June 6. I was told if I stayed an extra week (I was leaving on the 5/30) I'd get my vacation time paid to me. I'm also due for a quarterly bonus which grossed $600 last time. Also, stayed long enough to get my 5 year award. I picked a really pretty pitcher with glasses to match.

I have a closet full of crochet projects I want to get done. Will be watching GS and giving my Mom a break. I want my holidays. I haven't been decorating and baking like I do when I'm not working. Don't know how long my "retirement" will last. I don't like working 40 hours a week, but I think a part-time job would be nice. First thing I'm going to do, is clean my house from top to bottom. Haven't done much but a "lick and a smack" since I've been working. I just don't have the energy. And DH likes to do something on the weekends, so I get out of doing anything then. I actually like it when no one is home, I can open the doors and windows and just clean, clean, clean. I get so much more done.

Well, bye for now. You'll be hearing more from me after June 6. Then you'll get tired of me. :)

Hi Joan. Is this retirement or do you have another job lined up? You are wise to get all your perks before you leave. It will be nice to hear from you more often once you are off the time clock. CU soon. Kathey

No, I don't have another job lined up, yet. I just couldn't do collections anymore. I would have left last Fall, but I wanted to save enough for DD#2 tuition for at least the next two years. Want to take medical billing/coding course our local Community College gives, in the FAll. It will take 8 months to complete. I'm not like some of you energetic people that work and go to school. Eight hours does me in and I can't think after that. I've gotten so lazy working this time through (Been doing this on and off). Nothing gets done unless company is coming. DH does run the vacumn (never dusts) But he likes to do things on the weekends, so I use that as an excuse not to get things done. Hopefully, I can find work closer to home and part-time. I had a job 10 years ago where I went in at 10Am and was done at 2AM. Gave me my "mad" money and was able to get Housework done and hobbies.

Bye for now

Jo Ann
