While sleeping at 2:20 A.M., I sensed a prsence. Opened the eyes and there was DH staring at me. He said, "first thing in the morning when you get up call the credit card company. I can't find my wallet".

Bingo, awake! I got up knowing he "needed" help to search. This happens on occasion. He said don't get up. Sure, every light in the bedroom and entire house was on. He is extremely neat and his practice is to put his wallet, cash and nitro pills in a little pile together when he changes clothes.

After 30 minutes of searching through clean laundry, dirty laundry, pockets, checking the truck, shed and garage I sat down and waited. From upstairs "I found them".

We have all these people coming in to look at the house and when we know they are coming, DH hides everything. He had put them in the neat pile in his top drawer. Never did THAT before. Of course I am awake then and he is very tired. I talked to him very loudly several times when in bed to wake him up. He didn't necessarily think it was funny -- I did. lolololol We are a pair, the two of us are. After 44 years, one learns how to cope.

Have a nice day buggies. Guess I'd better change the ole PI again. Suzie says it looks like I am ready to barf!

Oh Lanie, what a thing to happen! It reminds me of the time that DH & I were spending the night in Phila. because we had an early morning flight to Mexico. In the middle of the night, I heard him rummaging around the room. He had forgotten his birth certificate! It was 5 in the morning and we our flight left at 8! We called his brother, told him where we *thought* it might be, and he went to our house and met DH in Dover. I went on to the airport in the morning, and at 7:30 he came flying in! Oh these men! LOL

Hope you're able to get a little nap today!

Hugs,Shari

Too bad they don't have a PI of George and Gracie for you--maybe Roseanne and Dan are more appropriate. I would think though that is someone were going to rob you, the top dresser drawer would be the first place to look. Kathey

Oh Lanie! Reminds me of the story my mother told of being rudely awakened in the middle of the night by my DF tugging on her legs trying to pull her through the end of the bed! You have to picture the kind of bed, here! He was pulling with all his might, and her legs were jammed into the wood opening at the foot of the bed. DF was asleep, dreaming that he was rescuing her from a burning building, pulling her through a window, and she was stuck!! This was when they were first married. The more she hollered, the harder he pulled! Guess he woke up then...oh me.

Yes, Lanie, you and your DH are a pair!! Glad everything missing was safely found. Will you be able to get in some quality naptime today?? Seren

At least your story had a happy ending!! A few years ago, our youngest was flying from Atlanta, which is a 4-5 hour drive for us, and as she exited the car in the parking lot of the airport, she said: "I don't have my ticket."......She had gotten it out to check on it, and left it on the chair where she was sitting. Other DD was home and confirmed that yes, it was there. We tried every way we could to figure out how to retrieve it (DD would drive halfway, DH would meet her...) but there was just no way in the 2 hours we had. So she had to pay I think it was $75 to replace the ticket. Not to worry, though, on the return trip, when we fetched her back from Atlanta, she lost her passport in the parking lot of a restaurant as she was getting into the car. or so we thought. About 4 years later, we found it, when we were preparing to sell that car. It was jammed up somehow underneath one of the seats in the car...Do you think we ever let this girl forget any of this??? NO!! Seren

What got my attention was the fact that you said that he was "staring" at you and you felt his presence. Does this work for him when he wants you to wake up? After that many years of marriage, do you all have an ESP connection where just staring works? LOL. I am glad that he found the missing pile.

Seren,

This is very funny, but a little scary. It sounds like the plot of a Mel Brooks movie. LOL. I have the most hilarious mental image of your DF pulling your poor DM off of that bed.

Dannie

This reminds me of a true tale that was sort of dropped since my divorce. My in-laws were visiting and during the night we had a terrible thunderstorm. I started dreaming that a humongous spider was grabbing and holding onto me. My DXH was dreaming that I was washing dishes and was being shocked by lightning so he was trying to pull me away. I don't know who woke first, but we woke everyone in the house.

Lanie- Woke my DH yesterday to say I'd left my handbag at work.-didn't know if in my office or the learning center. I decided to leave it until Monday, but at 2pm. DH says- I keep worrying about the cards and house keys. Let's go look for it. Well- between the car service to get there with DH who inisisted on coming along, and the return fare, we spent the same amount as if we had gone the threatre. Good news is the bag was in my office.
