My DD2 & family took me out to dinner tonight to Amarillo Grill. This was the first time I've been out since my surgery. Sure was nice to visit my street and neighborhood again!

I had grilled chicken breast nicely flavored, plain baked potato, and steamed carrots & broccoli, with a veggie tossed salad with Sweet N Low and vinegar. Delicious!!

I'm pleasantly full and enjoyed the company, conversation, and being with my Kyra & Conner too. Good time, but it wore me out. I'm such a wimp now..LOL!!

My DSIL came over earlier today too and helped me with a few things around my house. He put my stero unit up on my shelves in my kitchen area, rearranged the furniture in my computer room so I can get around better in here with my wheelchair, and also rearranged the end tables in my living room. So nice to have that out of the way.

I think I'll go in and watch tv now for the rest of the evening. Hope you've all had a nice day too. Will peek in again later and see you tomorrow too.

I'm so glad you could get out of the house and enjoy a nice meal with your family. And such a son-in-law; is he for hire? Have a nice evening. I tried watching the Lucy movies but didn't like the first five minutes so changed to PBS. Somehow, no one can play Lucy and Ethel but Lucy and Vivian. Kathey

Great! It does feel good to get out and about.

Dinner sounded like a good meal, too.

When dh first had to use the wheel chair, I said

it wasn't going to stop us from going to dinner,

and it didn't. We went anywhere we pleased, and

had a good time doing it.

Glad to know you are getting along so well, soon

you'll be doing all the stuff you did before.

Hugs,

Fran

Nothing is as memorable or uplifting as that first outing. Sounds like you had such a nice evening. Keep those spirits up and .............. heal quickly.

The gal coming over today had foot reconstruction surgery. It is a tough go and the swelling can be a problem. So keep that foot up and pop those pain pills. My theory is that the pain pills speed up the healing process. I don't know if that's true but I'm sure happy while healing! lol! Take care. Hugs & Prayers.........Just Judy

Great, Susie! A travel guide and an interior designer have brought sunshine to your day! ;-)

I'm glad you were able to get out and about, but I'm especially glad you are able to navigate at home with greater ease. There's nothing worse than being and feeling confined in your own living space!!!

I know you'll be dancin' in the streets of Savannah in September. ;-)

Have a great day.

Susie- it must have been fun getting out. Now, we need to get some rest which you are doing and take it easy. That foot needs rest to heal , Today, a friend who lives in Texas came to visit. She had similar surgery, and took a long time to heal. But, today she is off to see Vanessa Redgrave in her play. She was good and is being rewarded. Ok.
