Although it was a little on the chilly side and a tad bit windy the sun shined beautifully both days! Wearing the layers under my blouse did help considerably. I used one less layer on Sunday and almost wished I'd not done that one!

The outfit was the same one that I wore last year with just a couple of modifications. There are pictures at PI from last year. Didn't have a camera available to us this year! I did carry a parasol and if I can get Dan to bring his digital camera by when he comes next time I'll take a picture of it to post. I removed the black pleated band from the very bottom of the skirt. On Saturday the bottom of the black train for my costume got torn a bit so I modified it Saturday night. It now curves up on each side to 32" above the floor and dips down to 3" above the ground at center back. Looks pretty good that way. It was a very rough modification that I will finesse before next year! The hat with the tall pheasant feather last year is now missing the tall feathers too - deliberately.

I may be using two outfits next year...if all goes as planned. The guy who portrayed President Garfield last year (a coal miner this year!) wants me to attempt a Queen Victoria. He feels my profile is enough like hers to 'pull it off'! He had talked to a couple of other 'regulars' and they ganged up on me Saturday! Syl has volunteered to costume me! We are going to meet Thursday evening to discuss how it might be done. It could be fun to be a "Queen for a Day"!! I'll sure have to brush up on my proper queenly behavior (which I do not possess!) between now and then! I'll let you know what is being planned - as and if it is! LOL

I am going to go get a perm tomorrow morning. The hair around my face is beginning to bother me - falling into my face. I am hoping that the additional curl may help keep it back so I don't have to cut it.

I had a terrible time getting to the board earlier today. I think my ISP was having some problems. I finally unplugged my cable modem for a while. All seems to be working now - thank goodness!

I have not been able to read all of the posts for the past couple of days and there is NO way I'll ever catch up - so I'll just say: all of you who have requested support of any kind has mine; congratulations to everyone celebrating anything; and hugzzzzzzz to you all!

Hi Kt, the festival sounded like it was so much fun! BTW, I had a hard time getting here today, too, and there seem to be quite a few missing bugs, so I wonder what's going on?

HAGevening

I can see you as Queen, Katie. That would be fun. Glad your weather was tolerable for the festival.

Hi Kt. Or, should I say Queen Kt. I'm sure with some practice (lol) you'll be great as Queen Victoria. Glad you had a great time again. Hugs Lynda
