Kind of a overcast day here, we are expecting rain but since I have to work that's ok with me.

Quick scan of the board tells me that all things seem to be good in the garden. Susie is still on the mend, we have a few newbies..welcome to them all and thankfully all our bugs in an area wher tornadoes have been touching down are fine.

Francine hope things went well with the roofers and Sharon also hope the interview went well for you.

DH woke up Sunday with "illness"..does a lot of moaning and always goes right to the doctor who gives him all kinds of medicines. I'm more a wait and see kind...where these things are concerned..but I made him a big pot of chicken soup which made him happy.

Had a few errands to run..DGD on VA has a birthday at the end of the month and my DGS in NC is making his first communion this weekend. Went to get my nails done and when I got home from there went to Remy's baseball game. It turned out to be a really good ga,e which they won 13-11. Both teams played well and the coach seemed to be his old self..not yelling at the kids.

Well I'm off to work but I want to get my walking in first, so I'd better get going.

Good morning Val. It is still dark so I can't tell what the sky looks like. Last night was warm and windy--the kind of night you long for in August. I think more rain is forecast.

I hope your patient feels better today. Chicken soup is a good cure and knowing you made it for him is even more comforting.

Have fun at work. Kathey

Val- I didn't realize you walked before work. I have not been able to do that. Maybe because I go to bed late. Glad they won the game and coach is doing right by them. Sports should be fun.

My DGDs nephews did their first communion last Saturday, but logistically we couldn't make. I am wondering what an appropriate Communion present would be. Any ideas? Sure can use some help.

Off to work too.

I'm going back quite a few years, but when I made my First Communion, what I really appreciated from my grandmother was her family Bible. Of course, that was eons ago. Perhaps kids today would prefer a CD or video game. Kathey

Good Morning, Val

I hope you have a successful shopping trip! Birthdays and first communions are such fun to buy gifts for! Our family is in a sort of lull for those activities right now. Everyone's too old or too young. ;-)

It's a drizzly day here right now. If is clears this afternoon, the roofers will be back. If not, we'll see what tomorrow brings. They got a lot done yesterday ... including give me one of those annoying far away headaches from all their banging around! LOL!

Have a great day.

Francine

Hi, Val. Have good day at work. I have always noticed at a kids' ballgame , you can always tell the coach's kid because he or she usually gets yelled at more than the others. LOL--Pat

There should be special greeting cards for women with sick hubbies. Hope he is feeling better. Sounds as if you were off running this morning. Hope your day is going well.
