Morning! Shouldn't be on here, siren is going now. This is the most sustained period of bad weather I can remember. Long periods of thunder, lightening, buckets of rain, then short quiet periods and it's at it again. Think it will be over by noon. Schools were closed yesterday, and many are not yet open, maybe delaying the start of their day. But it is so much worse for the people directly hit by tornadoes. Here it is only fraying the nerves, no damage that can't be easily fixed. *Knock on wood*!!! What am I saying? LOL Hope you are all fine, will have to come back later for my "Ladybug fix" of the morning! Seren

I'm glad you escaped the tornadoes, Seren, but buckets of rain come with their problems, too. I hope the weather clears and the sun is shining soon.

Bye for now.

Hello, thanks for the good wishes! What a couple of hours it's been! Here in my city, they tried to go ahead with opening schools, finally just said come at your discretion (!!!)(tornado sirens going just at school opening time), now have had to close because of flooding. In my immediate area 6 inches or rain since midnight, so flooding is pretty severe. For the moment the rain has slackened, but the roads are closed, so I'm sitting tight. More thunderstorms are forecast for the evening. There have been a few tornado touchdowns, but mostly in rural areas as I understand it, a few barns and commercial buildings down. I haven't heard of any injuries, so that's good. Springtime! Oh, I finally went out and moved all my potted plants to safety! I have moved them back and forth a couple of times in the last few days, and I resisted doing it again. My blossoming plants are somewhat frazzled at this point! A lot of limbs were down in the yard when I was outside doing that, guess I should bite the bullet and go do an inspection tour! Plus I'm getting hungry, all I've done is drink coffee this morning. Am I getting whiney here? LOL Don't mean to, especially in the face of the tragedy so many people are facing from this series of storms. Good day to all! Seren
