picking up the pieces after the terrible storms. Our local weatherman who is normally quite a jokster has been pretty somber the last couple of days. Yesterday was so sunshiny and beautiful, you could hardly believe what had happened the day before. My friend from the close by town that got hit so hard and I went to lunch yesterday. Nothing at all happened in her part of town, but she told me she would meet me here because the town has so much going on and they didn't want people coming if they could keep from it. They are saying that the school year there is probably over and they may even have to start late next year.

Last night we went to see my dgd inducted into National Honor Society. It was one of the rare times I have seen her in a dress. She's a tomboy. (I never hear that term anymore. Hope it's politicaly correct. LOL)

Hope you all have a good day today. I have a date with laundry and the vacuum cleaner, so guess I better get busy.--Pat

Good Morning, Pat

I'm glad to know your friend escaped the storm's devastation! Still it's sad to learn how it has interfered with the school year.

Congratulations to your DGD on her induction into the NHS! That's quite an achievemnet!

Enjoy your *dates*! ;-)

Bye for now.

Francine

Congrats to your DGD. I know you are proud of her. I hope your area stays storm free during these awful days.

PS: If your dates don't work out, there is a Mr. Hoover and a Mr. Whirlpool here that are a little lonely lately. I personally don't like to spend time with them, but what can you do? : )

I haven't heard the term 'tomboy' in ages either. Maybe because what used to be boy games are now played by both boys and girls. Who's the Tom in tomboy, anyway? Kathey

Hello Pat - It is good to see you here. I was piddling around with my dry cleaning clothes I found in a laundry hamper I just moved into my new home. I wondered where those items had disappeared to...Well anyway, I spent an exciting day trying to wash them in Woolite. Now I need to unearth an iron...sigh...see you soon!
