So happy to have my cast on!! This is my very first cast ever in my life and it's such a pretty one at that..LOL!! They didn't have green, the cast company stopped making green. Dang!! Most of the colors are yucky!! My DD1 picked out a medium shade of denim blue for me. Looks good!! :o))

Doctor said my foot looks good, just the way he wants it to look. I'll have my cast on for four weeks and cannot put weight on it yet. Then when I go back in four weeks, I'll get my walking cast on for six more weeks. After that, look out!! Wiggles, here comes Susie..LOL!!

The sun came out this afternoon and all my ouchies went away. So it's a gooder day after all!

Hope you're all doing well today. I'm going to eat something now, skipped lunch because I wasn't hungry. See you later.

~~~Hugs, Susie
Hugs,
..
I never had a cast, either. Now that you do, I feel really deprived. (lol). Is it a demim sleave that goes over the cast or do they color the plaster? It is so good to hear of the progress you are making. Kathey
Cause for celebration, Susie! A blue denim cast and no ouchies! ;-) Great news!
The sun is still hiding in SE MA. It's cold and rainy. A good night for sleeping.
Bye for now.
When I was in a cast ages ago I had what sounds like the same color. Love that new "net-like" casting material!! Heavy but not as heavy as the old plaster casts were! When Ric had a cast on his wrist about 5 years ago after his M/C accident he got "maroon, as in moron!" - his words, not mine!!!
When the itches down inside that cast begin, find yourself a long straw to reach them! The layers of dead skin that will need to be scrubbed off when that cast comes off will be thick - so be prepared!! Probably more than you wanted to think about just yet, eh?!!
Happy healing, kiddo!
For just a moment there I heard a chorus from "Annie". Tomorrow...
Glad you got your cast. I have a rubber stamp of a ladybug. You need to stamp it all over as signatures from all of us.
I have never had a cast either(knock wood), but my son had several. Take care of yourself.
So now you can make a fashion statement with a cast too.
Glad to see that your progressing and things are going well. So by September you should be up to dancing..right.
Enjoy the sun.
So glad your foot is healing the way the doctor wants. Though I suspect the next weeks are going to go pretty slowly, the better we feel, the more we want to do...special hugs..TJ
