The temps range from mid 50s to mid 60s. By June temps are 10 degrees higher on both ends of the spectrum. May rarely has beach weather. June has many nice beach days. June and September are my favorite months on the Cape. It's quiet and relatively traffic-free. It's also nice that I have lots of family there ... some who live there year 'round.
Shari ... about travel time.
We travel to Yarmouthport which takes about an hour and 45 minutes, so we don't mind going back and forth.
And Wren ... about my being on the go all the time ... a sad story.
My dad always said he was going to retire *someday* and take nice vacations *someday* and spend money (he had more than enough) just having fun *someday*. Well, *someday* never came. He learned he had terminal cancer at age 61 and died within six weeks.
Since that time my motto has been:
It's better to experience and enjoy life five minutes too soon than five minutes too late. That's why I retired early, travel whenever I can, and fill every minute with joyful experiences. I am blessed to have the health and financial resources to do so, but I also know there can be a reversal of fortune at any moment. So I'm taking my five "early minutes" while I have them.
Time to get off my soap box and be quiet! LOL!
Bye for now.
Francine

So its better to be Happy and Enjoy as long as you can... Because No one really knows how long we got...wren
