Strawberry, it was muggy here today, but the sun sure looked nice. Air felt good at work.
Today was EOG test scoring time. I left the office with principals still waiting for their tests to be scanned and scored. NC has been using a gateway system for several years where if certain levels aren't reached at certain grades, then the student is retained. A similar system was put into effect across the country by President Bush called No Child Left Behind. If Bush is reelected, you will hear much about it. If not, it may die out.
DS2 is coming tomorrow to celebrate Mother's Day since he will be working Sunday. He is planning to get here right after lunch to mow and weedeat. Yeah!
Susiebug, I hope someone gets you out of the house again this weekend. I know you are missing keeping those sweeties.
Pab, enjoy the quiet. I bet you are tired after all that driving.
Hello to all other bugs. Hope to catch up on the board this weekend.

Enjoy your time with son.

DD3 just IMed me a little while ago while I was burning the songs to CD.
She says that she has two of their CDs. She IMed to tell me that she got something for me for mothers day! She also said that today was the last of her test!
I already had the padded envelope with 5 other software programs ready to mail to DD2 and little girls. So I will open it back up and put in this new CD in with them!
In case you do not get a chance to read my message from down below! I found my ladybug charm bracelet today! My DH took me tonight to get my Mother's day gift, a new shower massager, from Lowe's, LOL! Did'nt I say that was his favorite store? Anyhow, I got to pick it out, It has 7 Luxury Settings, even one called a Champagne Spray. I can not wait to try that one out! I hear you laughing at me!LOL. OK I know it is just bubbly water coming out of it! Funny though! DH is too tired to put it up tonight for me. Do you think he is trying to tell me something? LOL
It was very muggy here today, but finally sunny! Have a good week-end! SusieK
When she first moved to Wilson she taught in one of the private schools there, Greenfield Academy..she taught science but for the past two years she's been teaching fifth grade at St. Therese, which is where her kids go.
She graduated with honors in physics and calculus, which are her real loves and she tutors in those areas. She's had several offers to teach elsewhere and I know one day will return to those areas of interest but right now feels its important to be involved where the kids are attending school.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your Friday..
Val
I've been wondering about Karen and Kulani.
I haven't been home all that much ... trying to escape the roofers! LOL! And my DH has been off for several days and when he's around, we tend to be off and running.
Spring brings greater opportunities for everyone to be out and about. Great for all of us!!! ;-)
HAGD.
