Just a short post tonight for I want to see The District. They are dealing with Ella's death.

DS2 and I worked in the yard after work yesterday and got it all done. Looks good. Grass is even coming up where the water pipe broke. I had not slept until after 2 the night before and then woke up at 6 to go to work so I was really tired last night when we finished. He had to drive home and open the store at 6 AM, so I shouldn't complain.

I went shopping early this morning and got the power washer going on the walkways and the back deck this afternoon. I had bought a dress for DGD with matching shoes which had flowers that looked like dandelions. (She loves dandelions). Had to exchange it and was lucky to find her size today with her beloved paw paw flower shoes.

Hope everyone has a wonderful, loving Mother's Day.

Hi Bren. Now I'll have to watch the District as well. I used to watch it faithfully but got away from it this winter - don't know why. Actually, DH is watching the boxing so I'll have to use the small tv if I decide to watch it.

It surely does sound as though you've been very busy. Bet your yard looks really nice. It's a good feeling, isn't it, when it's all done???

Have a lovely Mother's Day and I hope you get to see your DGD in her new outfit tomorrow.

I watched 'The District' tonight - always do if I possibly can, even if I have to record it. I bawled my eyes out tonight though! Such an incredible job of working Lynne's death into the story line. And such wonderful tribute to 'Ella'!

Now I'm wondering how/if Chief Mannion will get his job back - or if the show will change drastically next season, if it comes back at all?!

Are you a regular 'The District' watcher?

Happy Mother's Day to you Bren. I was up at the campus today, and the square was full of dandelions. I too like them.

Happy Mother's Day, Bren.

I have trouble buying clothing for grands too. It either looks too big or too little, then I become a mess and just cannot decide one way or the tother! Hope she came over and you got to see her in the outfit.

Still a lot of work to do in the yard. DS1 gave me a rose bush for MD, and I am looking forward to finding a place for it.

They did a great job with the District, I thought. Hope you got to see it.

I saw about a half mile of daisies by the interstate yesterday and remembered that you had said you liked them. NC does a good job in some areas with roadside plantings. One of my favorite places is Pinehurst since they went all out a few years ago to dress up the area for a big golf tournament. Hope you had a nice Mother's Day.

Wasn't it a good program! I cried, too. She will be hard to replace because she balanced his character so well.

Yes, I watch it whenever I can. The rest of the cast is strong, too. I do wonder what will happen.

I read earlier that you now have lilacs. Enjoy them, they don't last long.

The dress fit well, and she loves the shoes.

Hope your Mother's Day was nice. Did you see your DGC?

I was able to see both DSs today as well as DDIL and of course, DGD. Jordan gave me the cutest gift, Little Chef Set, I think it is called. A set of unbreakable measuring cups and measuring spoons, a couple of spatulas and a chef's apron and the cutest chef's hat. Can't wait to try to make cookies with her.
