The service in my new church building was wonderful this morning. I went to the first service, there are two on Sunday and one on Saturday night, and it was packed out. I'm sure the second service was even more so. Here we are finally into our new church building and the parking lot was full to where some had to park on the lawn and both services were packed. I know it was a holiday and the attendance will go down a bit after this, but it tells us also that this brand new large building will be too small in a couple of years. Nice problem to have, but still a problem.
Anyway I enjoyed it a lot and love the new building. I will have no problem getting used to all the newness. I went with DD2 and her family and she had worked all night and had just gotten home in time to change clothes and get to church. She's the RN and every few months she had to work the night shift for a month. She was so tired that after church we took her home so she could take a nap and my DSIL, Kyra & Conner and I went to Chili's for lunch.
Then home and I took a nap too and then this afternoon they all came over to my house and my DD1 and her family did too. Loved being with all my family!! Kyra and Conner painted a white flower pot with paint pens and planted a pretty coral geranium in it for me. All four grandloves made me cards too. Those are the really special gifts that I treasure the most. :o)
Now it's time to eat some homemade veggie soup I'd made last night and relax for the evening. Hope you've all had a good day too. I am feeling blessed for my dear family and friends and also that none of those tornados hit my area. They started not too far east of me and went all the way to Georgia. Amazing!! It's still going on too as I saw on cable news the devestation in Kentucky that happened last night. Very scary how many there have been. Will continue to pray for all those affected by this.

I bought the fixins' for chili because it was so cold here and I thought that would warm us last night...Well, I got the chili-o mix and the diced tomatoes. Got ready to put it together and the tomoatoes said it had chili and onions in it...I wasn't watching when I bought them. It thought diced tomatoes were diced tomatoes....guess not....Then I opened the Chili-O mix and the package said Texas Style....I never heard of that either. So I only used half the pkg....you didn't have to eat that stuff just smell it and it would make you sweat....so I just took a couple bites and I my mouth could feel the hot peppers. So I opted for a sandwich....I am going to read the lables I guess...from now on.
