Another bright, new week has begun!

We will be living in goldfish bowl forever! The roofers will hopefully come today ... if the rain clears. But we still have to be up, showered, and dressed every morning, bright and early! Rats!

Mother's Day was nice! We didn't visit my DMIL ... will do so this weeks, we hope. Our DD couldn't come home but we had a nice converation during the afternoon. Barkley the Wonder Mutt *talked* with me, too. ;-) After breakfast at home and church, we took a drive and went to dinner at a local restuarant.

Today I'm off the the Fitness Center as usual while my DH waits for the roofing crew.

Later we're off to check out materials for creating permanent borders for raised planting beds. I took a class ... forgot to tell you ... in using brick, stone, etc. for that purpose. Now it's time to choose the actual materials ... or at least begin looking and pricing. I've mapped out a plan on graph paper but that's as far as I've gotten.

Well, I won't get anywhere if I visit much longer. So I'm off. Have a great day, Everyone.

Good morning, Francine, That fishbowl life won't last for long and then you'll be thankful that everything is complete.

Hope you have a good one!

Oh Francine, there's nothing like "playing" in the dirt with flowers to awaken the spirit. I'm sure your garden will turn out beautifully. Enjoy. hugs, dee

I wish we could send you the roofers who did the neighbor's house a few weeks ago. Big house and they did the entire thing in 2 days. Started very early and left after dark. DH went over to talk with them because he was so impressed, but they only spoke Russian and broken English. He also spoke with the neighbor and other people in this community and they all said the company has an excellent reputation. You have been bearing with that mess for quite awhile now.

Oh well, what will be, will be. Have a nice day today, though. It is sunny and beautiful here. I'll huff and puff and try to send it up your way.

Yes, Dee!

Playing in the dirt will be a nice treat! This will be the *FIRST* spring/summer season I've been able to knee in about five or six years! Seems like forever. I've lost count. ;-)

Have a great day.

Good Luck to our roof, Lanie! LOL!

Well, they're not coming ... at least not this morning. It's raining again.

We knew this would be the case when we hired this person. He is actually a finish carpenter who does lots of custom work ... crown molding and such. He does roofing jobs because he can make fast money that way.

So when it rains and he can't work outdoors, he has an inside job right down the road from us. If it clears, he calls his outdoor crew and they're here.

Also, too, we are have lots of funny roof lines ... several levels and half *gazebo* peaks that jut out in a few places. Lots that takes time. In the three full days they've worked without rain, they only got the front of the main house done ... plus gutters and downspouts.

This could take several more days ... several! It's a good thing these people are paid by *the job* and not by the hour! LOL! ;-)

Bye for now.
