This morning anyway...kind of a first for a while. But now that I look out the window toward the southwest the sky looks a little, you know, funny....lol.....

DS1 will be here on the 22nd. When he called yesterday he asked if I knew anyone that would babysit the night of the banquet. I asked if he didn't want me to and he said he thought I would go to the banquet too...not in your lifetime I told him...And it has been almost 2 years since I saw the DGKs and I have been stocking up on little suprises for the. You can send them something for Christmas and what ever but it is not the same as giving them something in person.

I have always picked things up at places like store closings and whatever that don't cost much but thrill kids. Makes them wish that they could be close to you all the time but,,,nice,,, but you know they can't. So you come off looking like a wonderful grandmother then they go home....lol.......

I don't know why I have this thing about pictures and my kids and even my bro and sis just don't. DD2 said she probably had 8 rolls of film to get developed and did I know what that was going to cost for developing and I told her a lot more than at one at a time..lol.My DH and I have made many trips several miles so I can get a film to Kodak or Harolds for one hour developing..lol....not kidding.

I had my first camera when I was about 8 and did have a lot of photos of flowers I had grown myself....B&W back then..no color. The film had to be threaded into the camera, remember them?. But then it cost about 35¢ to develope them too.

I lost all those when that basement caved in about 1968.

My mom saved a few that I had taken I was happy about that.

Well, better get busy, while the sun is out.....Janet

Hello Janet! I love pictures as well. An undeveloped roll of film doesn't last long around me! You mentioned the black and whites of flowers and it reminded me of my mother's photography. She was forever taking pictures of flowers, at home or when she traveled, close-ups naturally! and black and white. And then she would show them to me. I knew they meant a lot to her, but oh they were really not very interesting! I think she could remember the beautiful colors, but they were dull in the pictures! Hope your good weather holds for the day. Seren

Hi Janet, What kind of camera do you have? I need to get a new one, since mine is pretty old. (not as old as the ones that had to be threaded..lol) I'm just wondering if I should bet a digital. Is that what you have?

Hope you have a good day,

Hugs, Shari
